What is a Mobile Typing job?
Are there legitimate mobile applications that offer payment for typing tasks?
What does a typical day look like for someone working in a Mobile Typing role?
I’m hiring U.S.-based workers for a remote typing job. This is a flexible, performance-based role involving transcription of handwritten names and addresses using a browser-based web app. No downloads required—just a reliable desktop and internet connection.
What you'll be doing:
Reading handwritten names and addresses
Typing them into a search bar and attempting to match them with database entries
If there’s no match, marking the reason (e.g., illegible, failed match)
Requirements
Must be a current U.S. citizen and resident. No exceptions
Desktop or laptop required (No phones or tablets)
Fast and accurate typing
Able to decipher a variety of handwriting styles
Detail-oriented (spelling and formatting matter)
High availability during work surges (often short-notice)
Open availability over the next month for paid training
Long-term interest is a big plus—this job will have recurring waves of work
Pay:
$0.05 per completed task
Efficient workers can earn $9–$18/hr (matching time per task: 10–20 seconds)
Payment for training will be via a mailed paper check. This is both to verify your U.S. residency as well as give us time to determine a digital payment method that works for everybody
This job is perfect for fast typists, students, remote workers, or anyone looking to earn from home with flexible hours. Just know: work is inconsistent but heavy when it hits. Think of this as a long-term gig with bursts of solid opportunity—not a fast-cash hustle.
To apply, comment below with:
Your typing speed (WPM, if known)
Your availability over the next month and for short-notice shifts
Any experience with data entry or transcription (not required, just helpful)
Confirmation that you're a U.S. citizen living in the U.S.
Looking forward to working with some of you!
