I swear I’m not asking in a racist way. I work for an online retailer that ships with FedEx, and I handle all small-scale issues — missing packages, address corrections, et cetera. Suffice to say, I’m very familiar with their customer service. A lot of the outsourced agents are lovely and helpful; however, the language barrier makes it difficult to explain more complicated requests. Every now and again, I am put through to a native English speaker, so I know there must be an American customer service team. Is there any way to guarantee that I am able to speak with them instead of the outsourced team? I’m happy to speak with the offshore agents regarding simpler issues, but for more complex situations, I’d like to speak with someone who understands me a bit better.
Getting harder and harder to actually speak with a real person at Fed Ex. Here's how to do it:
Dial 800-463-3339 for customer service. After you hear the automated voice, say "main menu," then say "technical assistance," then say "more options," then say "something else."
That is the only way I got through to an actual person. Took over half an hour to figure it out.
