What comforter is most similar to the OG Ugg Devon comforter?
I'm moving into my first apartment post-grad and am going to have a queen sized bed, so I was hoping to just get this same exact comforter in the correct size, but it doesn't look like they make it anymore. August 31, 2025I (unwillingly, but still graciously) got an Ugg comforter for Christmas. Usually I wash all my clothes/bedding before using - is it worth it to dry clean it?
They wash and dry just fine, no need for anything special. Gentle wash warm water and dry on low heat. More on reddit.com

December 29, 2023Anybody Else Having Customers Love UGG So Much They Walk Right Out
Yes! During christmas time, I guess a “customer” stacked their cart with comforters (ugg was majority) and just walked out the door. Manager took a picture of them and their car but its ridiculous. Just recently a guy came in who I said the “hi welcome” to and he said “hi” back. Normal interaction right, so he comes up to the line for just a minute, acts like he’s waiting in line and going to pay. Nope. Walks right out the door in front of paying customers, and a manager. His getaway car had to pull up, hence the “waiting in line”. We were quite busy so he took just a little to put the stolen item in the car bc he didn’t think we’d seen it, but my manager took a pic of license plate ( not like anything will be done). Walked out with a dyson vacuum cleaner, with the spider wrap (idk if it’s really called that) still on. Normally if people are gonna steal they don’t say hi back, and have a mask on, but no mask for this man. Bold. More on reddit.com

I usually wash everything before using just as a precaution - I'm prone to contact rashes and I don't know what sort of chemicals are lingering on the fabric when it leaves the factory, and I know that at least when it comes to clothes, that lots of people could have tried it on/worn it before I bought it. This comforter is all fluffy and Uggy and dry clean-y only, though. I've heard it's not really worth it to dry clean these things once they're already soiled and that makes sense to me, but what about before use? Would dry cleaning help pull any factory chemicals/dyes that might still be on the fabric? Is that something I should even be worried about in this particular situation?

They wash and dry just fine, no need for anything special. Gentle wash warm water and dry on low heat.

(Advice from a fashion designer) if you are sensitive to chemicals, I highly recommend you do not have any of your clothing/bedding dry cleaned unless the item’s tag specifically calls for it to be dry cleaned and is severely dirty. Otherwise, you’re much better off washing/hand washing it yourself with regular detergent (or sensitive skin/dye & perfume free detergent if you prefer). All dry cleaners use a special type of chemical that strips the dirt and oils from the fabric if the care tag calls for dry clean only. If the tag says it’s machine safe then the dry cleaners will wash normally in a washing machine and dry like normal.
