I got it (100w nexode X). It's quite a bit bigger and heavier than the 65w nexode x and gets REALLY hot when you draw the full 100w for a longer period of time. But other that that, it's a great charger and good value. I've been using it for about 3 months now and personally i don't have an issue with the heat. Just be mindful when touching it after a longer charging session ;) Edit: If you are fine with 65w i would recommend the nexode x 65w due to the even smaller size. It's not GaN chargers that disconnect devices when something new is plugged in, that's PD in general, GaN or not. Basically, they need to negotiate what kind of power it wants and what it can give. So it needs to disconnect everything when. New device is connected and wants to negotiate power. There could also be some kind of slowly charging up to 100 behaviour too, to go easy on the battery. My old phone would do this, gradually charge to 100 overnight and be ready by 7 am. More on reddit.com

Do not ever buy Ugreen GaN Nexode Pro 100w because this charger is piece of overheating trash!! I totally regret wasting my money on this trash GaN charger!!
All GAN chargers are super hot on touch…UGREEN is amazing charger brand and they are on same level as Anker tbh… There ofc still is a chance you got a bad unit. Which can happen even with Anker…not long ago Anker had a big recall for powerbanks which could just catch on fire… More on reddit.com

I am looking for a charger for my laptop and phone to carry with me. Laptop charges with 65w, 45w or maybe lower wattages. and samsung phone 25watt i think.
Options are narrow in my country, i found nexode x 100w, product page:

i like its small size and i think it wont block other sockets in multiple sockets.
but there are some rewies claims that it goes too hot. unhealthily hot, even one in this subreddit. Can it be unit specific. Anyone had this model? any opinions?

Greetings
I just got a 100 W 5-port Nexode which is exhibiting a strange behaviour. If my Apple Watch is on its (original Apple) charger connected to the USB A port, it will intermittently light up and ping as it does whenever it is placed on the charger. This happens at intermittent intervals continuously which is very annoying, particularly at night. Even if the watch is on silent it will light up the room.
I read in another thread that some GaN chargers will renegotiate connections with connected devices whenever a new device is attached. That makes sense to me since the ports' wattage will vary depending on how many are connected. But my charger keeps reconnecting (or whatever it's doing) to the Apple Watch even if no other device is charging or is being connected.
I really like this charger as it is comparably compact and has five ports, but if this is normal behaviour I will need to look for another 100W charger with 4 or 5 ports that does not behave this way. If so, any suggestions for a charger that does not behave like this?

I had the same problem with ugreen 200w model, kept reconnecting with razer laptop, bought 2nd unit,the same,both returned.
