Even though I've never been a big admirer of Adam Sandler beyond his early 90s parts, I have to say that he was fantastic here. At first, I wasn't sure if I should see it since I was worried about how he'd do in a more tragic role, but I'm pleased I followed my gut and did.
The finale was a surprise for sure. Not to give anything away, but that was the very least I was expecting from the film.
On the strength of Sandler's direction, score, and acting alone, I give this film a 9 out of 10. Here are others that came close to uncut gems. What are your opinions?

Honestly, if you had to switch lives with someone, why wouldn't you choose Adam Sandler? He's been making movies for nearly 30 years. 90% of them are knocked as being toilet humour, but they do well enough to get funding for another movie next year. The other 10% are dramatic roles that he seems to do to keep himself interested, and they commonly come with great reviews. Punch Drink Love and The Meyerowitz Stories came before Uncut Gems and generated similar buzz. He's been married to the same woman for 20 years, lives a private life for such a public figure, and all those goofy comedies are staffed with lifelong friends. For a guy tagged as a dopey dooface, he sure seems to have figured.out life.

Someone recommended the Adam Sandler movie Uncut Gems to me, but I can’t figure out where to actually stream it. When I Google it, it just shows places like YouTube, Google Play, and Amazon where you have to rent or buy it. I was hoping it’d be on something like Netflix or Hulu.
It even shows up on Netflix with that “Remind Me” option, which usually means it’s not available yet or coming soon. I don’t wanna watch it on some sketchy illegal site—just trying to find a legit way to stream it if possible.
Anyone know where it’s actually available right now?
