I hope this is the right sub (sorry if it isn't).

To explain this a bit better, I have a desk that I built from a plank and 4 feet. There are no drawers or anything. Since I use this desk for both work and music, I'd like to have storage to put my work items away when I'm making music.

The problem is that my room is pretty small, and if I want to keep it clean I must find something that won't use a free flat surface (either on the ground or on the desk, so I can still have some free space.

I was thinking about these open front thin drawers you usually stack on top of each other on the desk, but I'd need to find one that I could easily attach with screws or anything under the desk.

Any advice welcome :)

Stupid question, but I’m in the process of building my standing desk and I’m wondering what the ideal placement for the cable management basket is? Center, flush with the back of the desk? A few inches in?

I’m clearly over thinking it, but I put my own finish on a hardwood top and finally got all the threaded inserts lined up and I have no brain cells left.
