Double bowl undermount stainless steel drainboard sink
What is the best stainless Steele undermount kitchen sink that doesn’t rust?
Whats "in" for sinks these days?
Plumber here. Apron front sinks are trendy right now but I don't believe (at all) they will stay in style beyond 2020. Right now they aren't really put into new builds because they are either loved or loathed by people. I think they look terrible in 89% of all installs.
Stainless steel sinks are the most common now, undermount. The big commercial single bowls are popular but are very intense looking. They are big. open. cubes. I would recommend a double bowl, 60/40 stainless steel undermount. 60/40 means one bowl is smaller than the other. Put the smaller bowl further from the dishwasher because that is the one the disposal usually goes in and the bigger is where people store/rinse dishes before going into the washer.
I guess the questions are: Are you looking for a practical sink or are you looking to put it into a home of 4000sqft+ where the homeowner is likely not going to be doing any actual cooking (stereotype, I know, but it is a start)? What is the price range of the home? Is the sink going to be used for dishes daily?
