My package supposedly arrived in Canada shipped from Cainao and I received a Uni express tracking number from Parcelsapp. Does anyone have experience with them? I’ve only been using Canada post and I couldn’t find anything about it from the sub
I've been de-AWSing my personal infrastructure, and as part of that move out I'm also a recent convert to B2 from S3 (although I've used personal backup back in the early teens, I remember that era when Mac users and Backblaze loved each other).
My biggest gripe so far is I need to create separate accounts for the three separate regions, which led me down the rabbit hole of learning more about the regions and the zones/clusters that back them.
There's no clear place where Backblaze lists datacenter locations. I'm able to piece together the newer clusters using announcements and pdb, but the early ones are hard to figure out, even with Brian Wilson's incredible timeline: https://www.ski-epic.com/backblazetimeline/
Can someone help me put the rest together?
2008: ca000 (us-west-000) is maybe Quest Sacramento, Roseville CA?
2013: ca001 (us-west-001) is maybe Sungard Sacramento, Rancho Cordova CA?
2017: ca002 (us-west-002) is CyrusOne Phoenix, Chandler AZ
2019: ca003 (eu-central-003) is DR/Interxion Amsterdam, Netherlands (maybe AMS7?)
2022: ca004 (us-west-004) is the Nautilus proof of concept river barge water cooled datacenter, Stockton CA (wavelength to Equinix SJO?)
2022: ca005 (us-east-005) is CoreSite VA2 One Wilshire, Reston VA
At the beginning of time, Backblaze was originally in 365 Main (DR SFO12) but then quickly moved to Oakland (DR OAK10?)? Clusters no longer exist at these locations, it was all moved to ca000?
It doesn't matter for us-east and eu-central, but when creating a bucket in us-west, is there a way to steer cluster selection?
