Where to buy unlocked new phones?
Unlocking Phones Bought From Carriers in Canada
Trying to replace my at this point heckin old phone but finding the things is weirdly hard. Google says wireless wave and such but when I call them they say they don't. Manufacturer direct ain't working, tried ordering something in November and every week its just pushed back a couple more (into the end of Jan now), totally get this is a silly first world problem but there you go.
EDIT
Thanks for all the responses ya'll it's been very helpful. So it seem my mistake was not just going into best buy and asking, when I was told on the phone they don't sell them that is evidently not the case lol.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc, etc, etc. :)
Hi, all!
I'll be travelling to visit Toronto in January, and I wanted to get a new android phone (possibly a Samsung Galaxy S24 model).
I noticed that they're a lot cheaper through Canadian network carriers than they are through the Samsung store or a 3rd part seller. But, I heard that carrier phones come locked.
Is it possible to unlock phones bought from carriers so that I can still use it when I come back home? Do you have a recommended carrier?
If it's not possible, do you have a recommended 3rd party seller with good prices?
Thanks in advance!
