I’m thinking to buy a new iPhone 14 from Apple. I’m a current customer of T-Mobile. I have no intention of switching carriers or switching plans within T-Mobile. In this case, I think i will be better off with a T-Mobile Iphone 14 from Apple Store since it is $30 cheaper than the unlocked version? If I really go this route, can I request T-Mobile to unlock my phone immediately since I will be paying in full for the new iPhone. Thoughts? Thanks for any input!

Apple does not sell a locked T-Mobile iPhone. Every iPhone sold by Apple is unlocked with the sole exception of those for a specific AT&T financing plan. You get a $30 "discount" for buying your unlocked phone with a plan. You should choose the T-Mobile option.

And if you don't live in the US, you shouldn't have bought your phone in the US. You will have no warranty on a US purchased iPhone in another country. You need to contact T-Mobile to see what, if any options you have with the phone.
