Man, the Chinese box office forums are so excited for Avatar 3, they say the theatre owners there are preparing to update their theatre systems for it. Avatar 2 apparently pulls massive numbers on cable there in China and many people are bummed out they missed Avatar 2 in theatres due to Covid fears. There's a legit public interest there to re-release Avatar 2 there so they can experience it in IMAX. Besides Avatar, they've pretty much no interest on other Hollywood movies nowadays.
