Did Apple remove the ‘Update All apps’ option in iOS 26?
How to auto-update selected apps in Google Play Store, instead of all of my apps?
Google Play auto-updated ALL my apps even though I specifically set "Don't auto-update apps"
Why doesn't iOS update all apps automatically?
They either all update automatically if you have that option turned on, or none of them do. There are no other options.
If they update automatically, that does not happen immediately when the update is released. It can take several days before they are updated but it will happen.

The iPhone has always struggled with automatically updating apps. Up until iOS 25, you could go to App Store - Account - Apps and manually force updates. You could even refresh the list (by pulling down) and then update all apps with a single tap.
Has this disappeared in iOS 26?!? Now how are we supposed to update all apps, since the automatic updates don’t really work efficiently?!
Hi. I would like to only apply auto-update on a few apps via Google Play Store. Based on the instruction from the official website: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/113412?hl=en
How to update individual Android apps automatically:
...
Step 7. Turn on Enable auto update.
When updates are available, the app updates automatically. To turn off automatic updates, turn off Enable auto update.
It was supposed to be the solution to my issue. Only enable auto-update to the selected apps, the rest of them don't.
However, when I tried to follow the instructions in step 7, the notifcation came out: "Do you want to update all Android apps automatically?" With two options: "No, thanks" and "Enable".
Seems like the Google Play Store forced me to auto-update all my apps and turn off a few selected apps. But it is just not what I want. I only want to enable auto-update in a few selected apps.
I am using Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (One UI version: 4.1 & Android version: 12) and the Google Play Store version is 37.4.21-29
Many thanks.
So basically, I've set Google Play to "Don't auto-update" for a few years now and it worked fine until last night, when I woke up today I found all my apps have been auto-updated and my "Auto-update apps" settings on all 3 of my Google accounts have somehow all been changed to Auto-update over Wi-Fi (without any action from my end)
All the updatable apps have been affected, including the launcher (which broke after update) and even some apps that I specifically side-loaded to not use the latest version, a lot of my good old apps have now been ruined.
I looked up on Reddit and it seems like many other people have experienced the same issue over the past few years, the worst part is it's irreversible and you don't know when it might happen next time.
Just sharing my own experience here, DO NOT trust Google Play!
Also, is there any way at all to avoid this from happening in the future? "Don't auto-update apps" will be useless if Google will just randomly make your phone auto-update all apps.
