Teamsters Authorize Strike at UPS - International Brotherhood of Teamsters
June 16, 2023 - Full- and part-time UPS Teamsters are working in lockstep for a new five-year agreement that guarantees higher wages for all workers, more full-time jobs, an end to forced overtime and harassment from management, elimination of a two-tier wage system, and protection from heat and other workplace hazards. “This strike authorization vote sends a clear message to UPS that our members are damned and determined to take necessary action to secure a historic contract that respects their dedication and sacrifice,” said Teamsters General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman.

r/UPSers on Reddit: UPS is going to union bust next contract.
July 19, 2025 -
It's no secret that UPS is minimizing the work load so next contract they have enough scabs & automated hubs to cover the work load. They aren't going to sign the next contract.
Better start saving up now and learning how to drop drive lines.

I'm sure that in some hubs it can feel worse than others... BUT we aren't the Teamsters of Local XXX. We are the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. They don't just bust our union. It would result in the largest work stoppage in the history of the world. What they are doing, is positioning themselves with as much bargaining power as they can. This allows them to negotiate a more favorable deal with the union in the next contract. Whatever you may personally feel about the current contract, I've been with the company for 21 years and dollar to dollar it is the largest raise we have ever received in that time. I'm not debating how it actually stacks up with inflation and cost of living, etc... but the company feels like they took a loss and now they want a win. It's just business.
