UPS needs your SSN if you are an individual recipient versus a business. Get them that info so your package clearance paperwork can be finalized. As for the granola, well that was stupid, but hope that it doesn’t get identified or made an issue in the process. Chances of getting new CBP 7501 files for this item are about 0.001% and will only further complicate your ability to get your package through clearing and released for delivery. More on reddit.com

You have to attach the custom invoices to the outside of your package using a self adhesive document pouch. If you need a pouch and your drop off location/box doesn't have any, try going to a UPS store. More on reddit.com

I am a Canadian traveling to the US for a conference. My company is shipping a banner for our table, and I need to fill out a commercial invoice.
Should I put our company address under both the "exporter" & "consignee" sections since we are shipping it to ourselves? Or, should I put the address that the conference is at?

I have two boxes stuck in Louisville worth about $6,000 in clothing purchased in Tokyo. I'm not sure what forms the shipper (who is a clothing business) filled or did not fill out, but when I spoke to someone at UPS last night, he said the Commercial Invoice needed to be resubmitted. He emailed it to me and I see that it requires the Tax ID of me, the recipient. But I don't have one, I'm not a business. (Separate problem, there was also a bag of granola in the box and I don't believe that was declared, and the shipper has not been sent the form to declare that.)
Any idea about what I should do? I can't get through to UPS now and they won't respond to this question on email.
