They both seem to be next day delivery, so im fascinating if anyone knows the difference lol Im in canada if that changes anything
I'm sending a faulty product i revised from apple. The label they included says UPS SAVER. What does this mean?
Saver is four times more expensive. That would suggest it's quicker but according to google it's slower? Which one should I choose for faster delivery?
Using UPS Express Saver to Ship from Germany to U.S. when can I expect the package to get there ? Anyone has used this option to ship ?
Hi i was wondering ? When is typically the latest that ups will do sceaduled pickups for express packages just generally in the day ? Is it typical for drivers to do pickups late in day end day for a type of shipping option such as this ? Just wondering? Or dose if tend to be early morning pickup for a shipment fpr express saver ? Any ideas or others experience with this ? Just wondering what some others experience is or even ups workers who arr in this world ? Any suggestions or thoughts be great Thank you
Hello!
As the title said, what is the difference between UPS Worldwide Express Saver and UPS Express Saver? Are they the same thing? I am asking because I want to order something from the UK and they are going to send it through UPS express saver. I know my past packages from the US are using UPS Worldwide Express Saver (at least the name is this). Do these two services have different brokerage fees if going to Canada? I know UPS worldwide expedited/saver only charges 10 dollars for brokerage. Does UPS express saver from the UK charge the same or differently?
I used a third party courier site to ship something from Canada to the US- I chose "UPS Saver" because it told me 1 day delivery. The package was picked up on the 17th, and the customer called me today to say she never received it. I called UPS and they told me this package was shipped with UPS Saver which takes 1-5 days.
Is this accurate? I just want to know so that I don't ship orders with this service, if I need it there in 1 day and it actually takes 1-5. I have refunded my customer for the additional express charge.
Please and thanks for your help!
I ordered an ipad and its coming from china. but ups site said it takes 2-3 days for worldwide express saver. but my tracking says that its due to deliver on the 9th. or am i wrong about how long WW Express takes?
Ordered a package from Sweden, shipped on Sept 30th, arrived in Cologne/Koeln on Oct 2nd and have been getting this update since. What the f is going on?
On Dev 4th I ordered an item from Newegg Canada. Order processed, no trouble, but the next morning I checked the delivery estimate and thought Oh No, I forgot to click on Express Shipping. Called Newegg to see if they could upgrade the shipping: No, package already picked up, they can't change it. But I can order the item again with Express Shipping (UPS Express Saver) for an extra $8, and that should be faster. Newegg is quite cool about it, says I can just refuse delivery of the slower package. I check UPS web site and it says Express Saver is "next day"! OK, so I order the item again. Problem solved!
Well maybe not. Here it gets interesting. When I track that second item (after UPS picks it up), it's estimated to take 13 days -- exactly the same amount of time as estimated for the first order! So what did I pay for? I called UPS to inquire and got a polite, though frazzled gentleman -- possibly in the Indian Subcontinent or Oceania somewhere -- who gave me very confusing answers; basically, it seemed that no matter what their web site says about Express Saver, there is actually no guarantee of faster shipping. He was sorry, but that was that.
And it gets slightly weirder yet. On my last look at the tracking this evening, the first package is now shown as "Express Saver" even though I didn't pay for that service on the first order. Did UPS upgrade it? If they did, what was the point -- since both services are equally slow?
I'm completely puzzled. Is the vendor pocketing the extra $8 but paying the same rate to UPS? Is the "Express Saver" text on my order intended merely to make me feel better? Why is it called Express, if it's the same speed as Ground?
And now it gets even better. I live on the coast of BC, on a small island two ferries from "civilisation". My packages probably are coming from Ontario, at a guess -- a long way away. My packages both made it across the country to Richmond BC (only about 200km from me) in record time: the second package got there in 1 day, the first in 2 days.
The estimated delivery time for Package 1 (when it first hit Richmond) was Dec 13, and for Package 2 Dec 16 iirc. Now that has changed. You might think that this would be good news, but no. The new estimated delivery times are Dec 18 for Package 1 and Dec 16 for Package 2. So UPS has just tacked on 5 extra (calendar) days for one, but zero extra days for the other, even though they are both sitting in the same warehouse not far from me and both (apparently) are now shipped with the same priority. [Richmond! it's practically next door. I could drive down there and get them -- though that would cost a lot in ferries and be an overnight expedition.]
So you can see, it's both frustrating and puzzling. I'm sure UPS employees are doing their best, I wouldn't be surprised if they were overworked and underpaid... but it's hopelessly confusing for the customer. What are my packages doing in Richmond BC for another 10 days or so? What happens in Richmond? I do realise it's Silly Season and all, but still, it's very disheartening to see the delivery date receding into the future rather than getting closer. And I needed this computer part to complete a project, so that only adds to the frustration. My project is on hold. I hate to say it, but I'm kinda wishing now that Newegg offered DHL or Purolator as options. In my limited experience, they seem to ship really fast.
I realise that sensible people would tell me, Never order anything online after Dec 1, you fool! And they'd be right. I kinda did this to myself by placing an order on Dec 4 (and 5). But I still don't understand why Richmond BC is the Great Sargasso Sea of package delivery, where packages drift into the doldrums and grow barnacles, waiting to be released. Can anyone from UPS explain any of these mysteries? Inquiring minds would like to know... and besides, it gives me something to do while waiting for my part so I can finish building a computer as an xmas gift for my better half.
You said you're on an Island, so Richmond is the mainland hub that sorts the packages for your local center. I'm guessing your island is getting overwhelmed with packages sitting in the center not getting delivered, so they've asked the Richmond hub to stop sending trailers of packages until they've cleaned out the packages that they already have.
Holycow, my story has a new twist. Today I got an attempted delivery notification for Package One, the one that originally shipped on Dec 4th! That means it's at the local PO (UPS hands off to Canada Post for our rural area).
That was the one that UPS tracking said would be here on Dec 18. It's the 9th today, so it has arrived 9 days earlier than their tracking predicted.
Why would UPS use a prediction algorithm that makes them look so bad? Is because they want us to be dancing for joy when the package actually arrives earlier? Funny way to make customers happy: accuracy would be more pleasing, from where I sit.
I am so confused now about this whole process; all I know is that (a) their long prediction times pushed me to double-order an item which will now have to be returned (I'll have to eat the shipping on Package Two, I guess) and (b) you can't believe anything you read on their tracking web site, other than the actual scan events.
I am going to order some European skincare that ships directly from France! They are offering the UPS express saver option which is faster than usps and way cheaper! Should I be worried about extra fees? I read a post where someone received an outrageous bill from UPS after the fact, although I think they were able to have ups reverse it. If I keep it all under the $800 de minimus will I be fine?
I think im a bit paranoid as its my first special package to me.
havent really recieved updates after it was cleared but noticed the UPS flights were leaving/making it somewhat on a timely manner. Is the following above normal? Hopefully i get something tonight? anyways happy holidays folks!!
whenever i order something online, its always a pain in the ass to receive the actual item at home. i need to make sure someone there to receive it else it will take 1-2 more days + the time to get to the pick up location to get the actual item.
So i've decided to pay the extra 40$ to get something ship at my home fast. the UPS Express Saver service "[...] guaranteed next-day service with morning delivery on weekdays" and i had someone home today. this morning i saw that the item was in my city, but the delivery date was change to tomorow. I've decided to call UPS asking them if i could pick up the item at the location. They said no because the item was in the truck in its way to my home. at 7 pm, and with no news from UPS, ive decide to call again. they told me it will be ship today.
and yet couple of hours later, im empty handed. thx UPS to force me to have someone home 2 days in a row because you cant have a working system.( i cant blame the 2 ladies, they were only anwsering what they could)
i'm simply curious to know is there anything i can do?
I’m shipping some paper documents from US east coast to China. The package weighs 0.1 lb. UPS says they only have one option — worldwide express saver, which costs $105. I was a bit surprised that I have no choice AND this “saver” option is so expensive. In people’s experience, is this pricing normal?
