I read online that just about all UPS shipping supplies are free, and their website confirmed it. Went to order some pouches for eBay shipping and, after making an account, it seems like all I have to do is give UPS my address and they'll ship the pouches to me for free. Is this real? I'm afraid they'll charge me later. I remember having to pay for packaging when I made some shipments years ago, both with UPS and USPS.

yes they’re free and they’re technically supposed to only be used for UPS shipments, so they’ll get their money back.

I need to ship out a 5000 card box. I'd rather it be in another box with bubble wrap or something. I was going to take it to UPS later but unsure of how it works. I'd imagine something that heavy and big would be about $20 ground? Will UPS package that into another box for me? Or would I have to pay for it?

No it's not free! I'm assuming you are talking about the UPS Store. They are franchise locations that are not run by UPS. They will charge you an arm and a leg for materials and to pack it for you. You're better off going to office supply store and getting the stuff to do it yourself.

I would not trust anyone else to pack your items for you. Always use at least twice as much packing material and tape as you think is necessary.
