Long story short, I’m an idiot and shipped a package to the buyers old address when she requested to change it. I THOUGHT that I changed it but I must have gotten side tracked with what I was doing and realized it was sent to the wrong address this morning.
I signed up for ups my choice and a business account and I see that it is advertised as being able to “intercept a delivery” but I can’t see where I’m supposed to do this. After reading about, calling UPS, and tirelessly looking in the site, I’m guessing it’s impossible. Any suggestions?
Basically, I shipped out a package to someone I learned very quickly after sending was a scammer. (Yes very dumb on my part.) However, I managed to get an intercept request put in the night it was sent out. My tracking shows “a delivery change for this package is in progress/ this package will be returned to sender. However it has kept moving from facility to facility and it is nearly to the scammer. If it gets to him I’m not getting it back. I called my local UPS guy about the package continuing forward even after the intercept was put in and he said “it should turn around at the delivery center”. Given that it’s been scanned several times I have a bad feeling it won’t. Any thoughts?
Hello, is it possible to intercept and retrieve a recently shipped dropped off package? Going to east Syracuse NY from Chicago, IL. I should have included a slip of paper with information written on it inside the envelope but I mistakenly forgot by accident. I have the tracking number for the package. I understand it will get shipped back to me since the slip of paper is required..But would this be possible?
Long story short, for the second day in a row I have the same package on a truck out for delivery currently. I requested to have the package delivered to a UPS Access Point when the option became available as I’m not always home to get deliveries.
Yesterday I saw the driver go to the access point location but never got delivered update, then got a delay notification due to address information.
Today, package is back out for delivery and I’ve noticed the same scenario. I’m flying out at 6am tomorrow for a golf trip, which this package is a golf club that I need for said trip.
Can I find the truck based on the live map and get my package while the truck is out making deliveries?
I'm trying to intercept a package I shipped through a ups store. Its going from VA to TN and estimated to arrive on the 24th. I've tried using the ups website to intercept the package, but its leading me nowhere. My last resort is to call the UPS 1-800-pick-ups number, and hopefully have an agent intercept it for me. any of you guys had to do something similar ? if so any info would be great help.
I posted yesterday and was told to intercept the package. I intercepted and through the night, my packages all of a sudden started moving and were at my local post office this morning for pick up. Please intercept your package! When initiating the intercept, it says you have to pay but (and like everyone who has recently intercepted on here) I was not charged for this.
I googled “does fashion nova use USPS?” And got a yes from the ai results, but I should have researched further.
I put my USPS General Delivery address.
And then I saw it was being shipped UPS. 🙄
I immediately tried to change the address on Fashion Nova, and it didn’t change for this package.
I contacted UPS by phone, by UPS My Choice and by in person. Unfortunately I can not intercept it on my own, because it doesn’t register General Delivery as an address at all, to let me assign that as my address, and then recognize it as my package to intercept it. They said the only person who can change it now are the senders, Fashion Nova.
I e-mailed fashion nova. They referred me an auto message to a FAQ page. I sent them a message on X and explained everything. They told me to contact UPS… which they already knew from my message that I did.
It seems I’m SOL and this package is going to get rejected tomorrow. But I figured as one last attempt I’d ask if anyone has had success resolving this issue.
Hi all,
This has been resolved by the sender, but I’m really just curious about what could have happened.
Saturday I was expecting a delivery containing perishable goods. It was shipped out on Thursday, and was due to be delivered by 7 on Saturday. At 8p, the tracking status changed from “out for delivery” to “sender requested that we hold this package”, which the sender denies doing. When I called the 1-800 number, at first they said the delivery date was just delayed and it’d be delivered Monday. When I asked about the “requested hold”, then she said the seller contacted them and asked them to hold it, but she’d have my local dispatch call me on Monday. When they called this morning, they said it was out for delivery today. It was just delivered and is marked “intercept” on the box. Since the package was perishable, the contents were ruined and had to be thrown away. The sender anticipated this when I spoke with them this morning and already sent a replacement.
Why would it have been marked intercept? And then why would it be delivered anyway when marked intercept instead of returned to sender?
I went to a UPS store and was sending a package to myself to my home in another state. I wrote down clearly the TO and FROM addresses, but when I saw my email confirmation the TO and FROM addresses were switched. I have tried calling the helpline, but since the tracking number says that UPS hasn't received the package yet I get cut off. Is there anything more I can do? I really really cannot have the package sent to this wrong address. I won't be there and I don't want anyone there to see my new address in another state. I've tried registering online to intercept the package but that doesn't work since tracking says they don't have it. My last hope is calling the store when it opens tomorrow hoping they don't load it on a delivery truck as the store is like one mile away from this wrong address.
Any help is appreciated !!
My friend ordered some concerts tickets to my apartment, but by accident put her name along with my apartment's address. The building receives a hundred UPS packages every day, so the package was delivered, later that day when the concierge couldn't find her name (which was on the package) on the list of residents, he set it on the packages to return to UPS. The package was returned yesterday, we don't know if to the sender or to a UPS warehouse. We tried to change the delivery location but it asks us for an "InfoNotice number" which apparently comes in a barcode on the sticker that UPS leaves on your door when they attempt a delivery but you're not home. We don't have this number because the delivery was completed successfully and later the package was returned by the building.
How can we intercept this package? Would it be sent to a UPS warehouse nearby or to the origin? Any recommendations? TY!!
I have been selling and shipping packages using UPS for a long time now and this might be my last. I sold some Jordan 1s on r/sneakermarket and shipped them to my customer next day air. I had been waiting 2 days and got no updates so I gave them a call. They told me it’s being rerouted to the fraud department and will be checked and now 5 days after when I called them, they told me they confiscated my goods and I will need to file a claim. They were close to worth $300 and It was a 3rd party billing company where I bought my label from so I am guessing the issue lies here?.
What’s my next step? USPS only from now on :/
Say they know the tracking number, and the sender's and recipient's full information (name/address), do they have the power to reroute my package and essentially steal it?
I am shipping a package to the US from a country that doesn't have a UPS service. Basically, I am using a domestic shipping company to get the package from my country to the US and from then on it will be handed over to UPS for delivery to the final address.
Due to certain circumstances, it is crucial the package be delivered at the correct time. Sadly, using My Choice is not an option as I can't register due to tech issues (and neither can the recipient of the package). Is using delivery intercept an option? The information on the website is quite vague.
What do I need to use Delivery Intercept? Is the tracking code of the package alone enough for me to schedule a delivery?
Will the fact that I myself will not be handing the package over to UPS (that will obviously be done by the other shipping company) get in the way of me using Delivery Intercept?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot
The package recipient decided they didn't want the item just after I had shipped it. They called UPS and had it intercepted and returned to sender.
My invoice has a $24.90 intercept fee. I obviously didn't authorize any of this. The dispute button on the invoice does not work. How can I call someone in the US and dispute this charge?
Hi Everyone,
I sell used car parts on ebay, and it finally happened: I put the UPS label on the wrong package and proudly walked it into the UPS store for delivery today. Then this evening, I was packing some more parts and I realized my mistake. I went into UPS.com and registered an intercept. For a $15 fee (if they manage to get the package rerouted) they will send it to the right place.
Has anyone had success or failure with an intercept before? If so, how long did it take them to lay hands on the package and reroute it?
Thanks!
