If you package came from abroad, call this number 1-800-782-7892
this was my problem https://www.reddit.com/r/UPS/comments/1eh83as/my_package_is_delayed_had_2_import_scans_on_two/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
and the tracking shows algorithm expected delivery of tom Aug 2, 2024, but it won't be delivered tomorrow because It hasn't been released from customs according to them although tracking shows "CUSTOM CLEARED" So it will be delivered I don't know when now.... this is FRUSTRATING UPS! and please suggest credible courier please
Noticed there are more than a few folks who are having UPS issues on import items. I will preface this by saying UPS has been pretty much worthless in my situation, but you may have better luck.
I stopped by my local UPS Store and they gave me their support number. 1-800-742-5877 The only place I could find this information was on their Supply Chain Solution page.

When you call in, you will still need to jump through the AI Assistant Hoops
-
Say "missing package" when prompted
-
Give the tracking number information when requested
-
At this point the AI Assistant will tell you to contact the shipper. Say "Representative" which will trigger an in person response. You have to wait to get to this point in the flow or the AI Assistant will not recognize the command and will try to keep you on the current path.
-
The wait time for me to get a person on the phone (Tier 1 Support) has averaged between 5 and 8 minutes.
-
If the Tier 1 rep can help you, then count yourself among the lucky few. Give them a chance, but chances are you will need to ask to speak to a Supervisor
-
This is where the wait times get insane 45 minutes to over an hour. You are still going to be directed to an offshore supervisor at this point. YMMV but in my experience it does not get any better. The one time I was able to get a supervisor on the phone (the other 2 times my call was cut off) they were no better than Tier 1
Good luck!
I am supposed to receive a package/wedding favor chocolates from an Etsy seller who was based in Turkey and my package has been stuck in a warehouse in Philly for 5 days. When I call UPS they transfer me to their international division. I’ve been on hold for over 3 hours without speaking to anyone. Is this normal? I think it has to do with the Tariffs that got implemented after August 29th but it’s crazy and frustrating!
-
Call the international number: 18007827892
-
Say "domestic" on the first menu prompt
-
Say "shipping info" on the second menu prompt
-
Say "agent" on the third menu prompt
Has worked for me twice now. Hopefully they don't "patch" this method. If all else fails, curse alot. These IVR prompts usually will route you to an agent if you become "irate".
Good luck
Package is saying the receiver is incorrect. I call ups and after 4 or 5 transfer they sometimes connect me or just drop me but the address is correct. They say we need the receiver phone but it’s actually an embassy and they don’t have a direct phone number
Thousands of packages are sent to this for visa reasons and it’s baffling why they can’t deliver it. Could it be that it is rejected but ups keeps saying it’s wrong address ?
I keep having my next day air packages late and anytime I call ups I am speaking to someone from India that spends 15 minutes making me repeat my tracking number and more clueless than I am. Is this really how UPS is now? Is there a customer service number where I can speak to someone from the US?
Can anyone from UPS help me about my parcel. Urgent
So, in light of me coming to the final stages of a claim that has been going on since May 2021, 8 months and close to blowing my brains out, I figured I'd share some information that I wasn't initially aware of and that helped me along the way. Couldn't find this info readily available so if this is already common knowledge, you can skip ahead smarty pants.
Your account number is the 6 characters after "1Z" (Seems obvious but as someone who filled a claim without an account, this was news to me)
P.S. Just call any department and tell them to forward you to ______ department because you accidentally got disconnected. 50% of the time they won't ask questions and will allow you to skip you giving them your tracking number and other info. Stupid because your next rep will 90% of the time ask you to give them it again and is just a huge time waster.
Fast way to get in contact with a representative through their normal customer service number:
First Dialogue, respond with "International Shipping"
Second Dialogue, respond with "Something else"
That's it. It'll start ringing and you get connected. I've tried spamming 0's and just never worked for me so this was my findings after a lot of trial and error.
Direct numbers:
Claim Department 800 430 2055
Billing Department 800 811 1648
Package Details 866 706 6894
*Not sure but some special department/person* 800 742 5877 [Extension 06]
How can I talk to a real person? I call the number listed for customer service and get stuffed around resulting in no connection to somebody.
Unless someone here can advise.
Recently my deliverys are requiring signature. The shippie has not required signature when they ship.
Why are my packages being requiring signatures.
Otherwise can someone please give me a number or things to say to the stupid bot to get threw to a real rep?
I've tried 1-888-742-5877 and it's basically an automated loop that will NOT let you speak to a real person. I have a package that's been sitting in the same location for 3 days and it's supposed to be delivered today.
I can't even reach a real person to explain the problem and their automated system certainly does not handle issues outside of giving the status of the package.
It basically teases you to get the tracking details out before it'll connect you with a person, then it still won't transfer to a person and ignores all requests to speak to anybody. It's so frustrating.
It used to be that automated systems will let you speak to someone if you repeat 'operator' a few times, or hit 0, but it's not working with UPS.
Ive been going in circles with UPS for days after being charged a $126.92 shipping adjustment, twice, for a package that cost me all of $13 to send out. Nothing out of the ordinary with the package since it’s a specific box/item that i frequently send, but for some reason was hit with this adjustment twice. Every person I speak with is from India and I’ve tried every UPS number that I can find, but nothing to get in touch with someone located here. Is this even possible or should I just accept that UPS can bill me $127 each week in perpetuity for a single package?
UPS International phoneline is wild… I sit on hold for 1–2 hours (worked while I listened to the beautiful music-lol) , finally get through, talk to someone, they say "let me look into this," puts you on hold (again) and then boom - -> disconnected. Anyone else dealing with this or is it just me?
877-289-6418, option 4 (other) I just was able to speak to a live UPS person about my delivery issue (3 failed delivery attempts, even though I was home, and now being returned to sender). Found out the identity of the sender, contacted sender, and make alternative arrangements. I chose call-back option and got a call back within 10 minutes. It seems to me that 800-742-5877 is strictly Artificial Intelligence no matter what time you call.
