I setup an account for My Choice membership with my delivery address, and selected "Skip home delivery and send all my packages directly to my preferred UPS Access Point location." I also chose the access point "CVS STORE # 8683 107 W GREEN ST CHAMPAIGN, IL 61820 ".
Yet today I get a "Sorry we missed you" notice on the door of my apartment building stating that they attempted a delivery to my home address. And when I look up the door tag number online it says " We missed you. We are taking your package to a local UPS Access Point". And the access point listed is "ADVANCE AUTO PARTS STORE #6572 , 403 N MATTIS AVE , CHAMPAIGN, IL , 61821 , US".
Why if I selected an access point and to skip home delivery, UPS is still attempting to deliver to my home address, and completely ignoring the Access Point I selected. This isn't "My Choice" at all.

When we scan a package, often times it’ll give us a handful of options. If the access point you hoped for isn’t listed, for whatever reason, we can’t do it. It’s stupid. There’s a lot of seriously dumb nuances we deal with on a day to day basis.

I hate the AP system. It’s just ups trying to save money by not having to handle the same package for three consecutive days. I used to override it and use the left at function and leave the items at a UPS store on my route. This would be convenient for everyone on my route as it goes all around this store. Unfortunately the system reroutes the items to a CVS store about 3 miles away. That’s the closest option in my board. I have 3 other option that are on the opposite side of town. WTF. The only reason my original way stopped working is a person in one of my apt buildings couldn’t read. I left a note saying that it would be taken to the UPS store that’s literally 500 ft from the apartment. They looked up online and it said it was delivered but they looked everywhere and couldn’t find it. And they wanted to know who the hell ( name omitted ) was that signed for it. In the end they filed a corporate concern on me, well that’s the end of that. So now everyone has to go way out of thei4 way to pick up the packages. I hope they are happy.
