Hi everyone,
I was going to ship a package using next day air SAVER to a residential address. I see that it said it would have a commit time of 4:30PM and not by end of day like it used to. So can someone verify if the commit time actually changed to 4:30PM to residential and not by the end of the day like it used to? Thank you!
I use ups a lot and I was wondering if something changed about next day air versus next day air saver. I used to only do next day air saver but I realized that my packages would take forever to come and would usually arrive around 7-8pm. A while ago when I tried next day air my package came 10:30am but then the next few times that I’ve used next day air my packages all came around 7-8pm still. With my most recent next day air package I saw the ups truck in my apartment complex twice and I didn’t get my package until the 3rd time they came around which was at 7:30pm. Is there any difference between next day air and next day air saver? I would think that ups would prioritize the people who paid for next day air but it seems like they have a route they follow and the people who pay for next day air don’t get priority anymore?
Can someone explain how next day air saver works? Ive had nothing but a terrible experience with them and wondering if it’s a regional issue, bad luck, or if it’s a common issue.
I recently purchased a vehicle out of state and the dealer sent the title via next day air saver so that i could register it locally. the package was stuck nearby with a message of “delayed due to severe weather” which was BS as the location it was at is no more than 15 miles from me and the weather was fine. Shipper finally called and they were told the package was lost in transit. the dealer then went and had the title invalidated and a new one issued, but while that was being processed the package arrived, 10 days after shipping.
They have now sent it again and it’s been sitting as “we have your package” since Monday at 7:58 pm ET. Should i expect that it will eventually get delivered or will we have to go a third time to see if we are successful?
I’m the recipient of a package shipped via UPS Next Day Air Saver, and I paid extra for that service. The package was sent from VZ REDLANDS DFILL AIR (Redlands, CA) and was supposed to be delivered on June 24, 2025, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
UPS marked the status as “We Have Your Package” well in advance, so it clearly made it into their system. But the delivery window came and went — nothing arrived. The package also requires a signature, so someone was home and ready all day.
If UPS had the package, why wasn’t it delivered on time? I paid for a premium service and didn’t get what I paid for. Has anyone had luck getting a refund or escalation for a missed Next Day Air delivery?
So I ordered an item sent out by Next Day Air on Thursday. It was promptly shipped Thursday. It was supposed to be delivered today, Friday, but is late and doesn't appear to be moving out of Tulsa Oklahoma. What happens now? Do they hold it until Monday, or will they try to deliver it tomorrow?
By the way, this is the second Next Day Air package from this store I buy from in Philadelphia PA that has been late this week. The last package was supposed to be here Tuesday and didn't get here until Thursday. Not the shippers fault either, they got the packages out timely, just UPS screwing up again.
I have a package out for delivery today and it’s also next day air and the tracking is saying out for delivery till 7 pm. If I wasn’t mistaken, isn’t next day air supposed to be delivered in the morning?
It saids by end of day but I'm curious to know what times people have actually gotten the package.
Ship my company laptop from CA to NY, I really need that laptop because I start my new job at the new company on Monday (shipped on Thursday with next day air saver). Looks like the package stuck at KY due to some rains, I heard they resume the operation minutes ago. Can anyone tell me how big the chance that my package can still deliver to me in NY? Can it at least arrive at a local NY hub so I can pick it up?
This really sucks because if I can’t get the laptop this week, I have to fly to Seattle to be physically in the company. God please help my package I beg you.
I bought an item with 1 day delivery. It shipped on Tuesday and was expected to arrive today. Now it says it's delayed to Thursday. Am I eligible for a refund on the shipping? I paid like 30 bucks. Do I contact the shipper or how does the process work?
A company sent out a package with next day air saver on the 15th. Due to severe weather and a plane delay, I didn't receive it on the 16th at 3 pm which it stated I was suppose to.
It's now 4 am the 17th. Should I receive it this morning being that it's next day air and I didn't get it yesterday? The last thing posted under tracking says "A late flight has caused a delay. We will update the delivery date as soon as possible." and the location is my city.
It's a very important package, and I understand weather delay and late planes but it's very, very frustrating when it's an expensive item and paid with fast shipping.
SN: When do UPS trucks come out in the morning? I might not sleep because I'm so anxious and don't want to miss the door.
Next day saver to residential will have end-of-day commit time, to commercial it's in the afternoon (3-4pm ish). If you need it in the morning either try to put a hold on it and pick it up at the center or use next day air early in the future (AFAIK). If delivered, it'll probably get there whenever you usually get deliveries, it'll depend on the route.
The logistics for next day deliveries is a bit delicate, a plane being delayed even a couple hours can mean it has to be bumped to the next day unfortunately. No reason to think you wouldn't get the package today, but I don't know how Kentucky is doing.
If it's medicine or something like that, you could try calling your local center (maybe around 8am) to see if they can get it to you in the morning... Obviously no guarantees since they don't have to do it, and staffing might be a bit tight right now, but depending on the center they might help you out.
UPS trucks can leave their buildings as late as 9:30-10:00. Next day air saver residential has no commit time and will get there by end of day. Probably at the normal time you get any deliveries.
How the fuck does a delay occur within ONE MINUTE OF RECEIVING THE PACKAGE?? Literally paid a next day air premium just to not receive my package when I'm supposed to. This is beyond frustrating. What are my options at this point? Is it possible that it's glitched? I don't know man, I'm very annoyed right now.
(it is 8pm est but 5pm PT by the way, so it is before the cutoff and all of my other packages have arrived to their facility by this time with no problem)
I am trying to order from a company and paid for next day air. He contacted me and said that UPS next day air service is no longer guaranteed and that it shows delivery will now be 2 business days using "Next day Air". Is this a UPS thing now or am I getting false information from them? I paid $40.00 for this and the shipper informed me that they needed an additional $20.00 for the Next Day Air service BUT to be aware that UPS no longer guarantees Next Day Air and that shipping shows 2 business days for Next Day Air. So, it costs $60.00 for 2 business day shipping using UPS?
If I did next day air saver on my shipping will the product be delivered earlier ? I think it happened once because ups usually comes at 5pm for me but last time I did faster shipping on a product they dropped off at 11am
Savers are end of day. The only way to assure an early delivery is to ship it next day air or next day early am. Last time you may have gotten lucky with a neighbor getting a next day air package. Sometimes we drop off other stuff very near an air package delivery because it's efficient.
Air saver is either close of business for a business so by 5pm or end of day for residential I’ve delivered a next day air saver at 9pm for a residence as long as it is before end of day meaning before we go back to building essential midnight we are good to go!
I have looked at the 'understanding tracking status' page on the UPS webpage, as I typically use USPS. It is odd that the label was created 2.5 hours after I dropped off the package and has not updated since. Is this typical for next day air saver?
Bought the label through Pirate Ship and dropped it off at Staples on 12/31 due to the UPS store being closed, I knew they wouldn't pick it up until 1/2. I guess I should've waited and drop it off at the UPS store
"We have your package" is a threat at the moment lol
If that 7:05pm scan is at the airport you’ll receive it next day bar something like a miss load or loss. But my guess is staples didn’t give them the package until after air pick up which tends to be around 5pish but can change depending on area.
|| || |We are waiting on a package that is supposed to be here today. Based on the tracking, do you think it will make it? It was sent via next day air saver, but got in late to the FL hub. We are leaving tomorrow but hate to miss the package. UPS CS is no help only repeating what is listed on the web, delayed. Nobody knows why or for how long. It is headed to Houston, TX.
TIA

No. If it doesn't show a scan at local hub the morning of, and then an out for delivery status, it's not coming. It would have shown a scan by now
So I paid for overnight air, and it has been sitting in the same place for 5 hours now. Delivery window says 9:15 AM-11:15 AM. So question is, if it doesn't get that delivery window today, will the price of the shipping be refunded?
Yesterday morning, I made a purchase, spoke to the salesperson who ensured me that pickups hadn't arrived yet, paid for next day air.
In the evening, the pickup occurred, and anticipated delivery date was today. It was making its way through the system, and I noticed at 8:30 this morning that "Saturday delivery has been requested. / Delivery will be rescheduled for Saturday."
I didn't request this, how is this possible, and do I go to UPS for the refunded shipping or the retailer I purchased from?
EDIT:
Just got off the phone with UPS. They stated that the package is behind schedule, and automatically updated the delivery information with that message, stating that Saturday delivery has been requested. That messaging is counter-intuitive, since neither the sender nor receiver actually requested it. "Delayed in transit" would seem more appropriate. Something's off.
I bought a dell pc and it got shipped on ups trick since morning but it is already evening and no delivery yet. So since it is one day late will UPS credit dell for this delay? I paid a couple hundred extra for this. On my app when I click follow my delivery it shows almost there but that was 4 hours ago.
No but they have until about 11 to deliver it.
