There’s really no formula to figure it out. If you live near a commercial area , there’s a possibility it could come earlier in the day. If you’re in a strictly residential area, it could come early or late. I’ve gotten savers at different times, no time was ever consistent. More on reddit.com

A friend in CA took a package to the local UPS store, packaged it up there and mailed & paid for next day air shipping physically, in person, yesterday. He’s mailing the package to me in TX, and this isn’t the first time he’s mailed me something at this shipping speed and from that UPS store.
He sent me a pic of the receipt yesterday and all looks fine. When I wake up this morning and check the status, I notice the progress only has a single line item for “label created, waiting on package”. At that time, the app said no delivery estimate until they receive the package.
Now the app displays a delivery estimate as today by noon, but there is still no progress activity listed and the overall status is “waiting for package from shipper”.
To be crystal clear, there is zero chance the item was not actually brought to the UPS store by my friend — the entire process was initiated in-store and the item being shipped was physically handed by my friend to the UPS store clerk.
What could be going on here? Is there any chance the lack of updates are related to the shipping speed (next day air) despite that being implausible given this isn’t how it’s worked for the several times previously I’ve done exactly this.
-Do you think it’ll arrive by noon today (the estimated arrival listed by UPS currently) given the above?
-What steps should I take and in what order if the package does NOT arrive by noon today?

I have a feeling that the UPS store did not scan the label after they created it. I’m not sure if that means it didn’t go out, but the fact that it is only showing as a label being created sounds like they never scanned it. This would essentially be the same as someone creating a label online and then dropping it off without having the store scan it into the system. This definitely doesn’t mean it didn’t leave the store, but you’d think there would have been another scan at some point.. Also, This probably isn’t the case here, but do you have UPS my choice and were you logged in when tracking the package? You get much more info (assuming there is any) when logged in. I also receive and ship a ton of packages and I have had a few show up without any scans, or the tracking will go from nothing at all to all of a sudden it’s our for delivery so it is possible it will be delivered. I would also recommend giving the UPS store a call.. can’t hurt and maybe they’ll verify that it was actually picked up, or not.
