Long story short, I'm wondering to how logistics work if I were to prepay for priority shipping (certified mail) via UPS where the origin of said package would be coming out of a different state to the final destination (where I live).
There is a paper check that needs to be mailed out to me and USPS is giving us a hard time. It looks like they RTS'd the certified mail for no reason hence my decision to switch to UPS instead. USPS already "lost" the certified mail with the check in it so we had to void the check to err on the safe side
My question is this: how would I be able to "certify" the mail and have UPS pick it up from the sender where I'd prepay for the shipping materials? The sender is disabled and cannot leave her home without assistance which is a whole different story in trying to make arrangements for someone to accompany her to the store as that is something I'd absolutely want to avoid doing.
Any suggestions to how I can achieve this using UPS services?
Requirements: Must be able to pick up the "package" from the sender's address -- signature upon delivery
Notes: Sender does not have UPS materials on hand to put the paper check in it -- cannot leave the residence without assistance due to a physical disability. I do have the UPS premium account with UPS as well if that can be helpful
edit: should I just grab a small box that can fit a business envelope in it and attach the prepaid shipping label in it for the sender to send back if that's something doable? I'm trying to make the process as easy as possible for the sender so i'm open to any suggestions here. Just need to avoid using USPS at all costs at this point -- their local facilities here is slacking big time and a lot of residents are fed up with it.
