I have the ups app and it says that an attempt was made to deliver my package, when I didn't hear a knock or receive a phone call, so since I can't change the address instructions for some reason I want the app to send me a notification when the driver is about to deliver my package or the closest to that. I think that's what the "pre-arrival" notification does but I don't want another failed attempt so I thought I would ask here
This package made it to the final destination hub today even though ups doesn’t deliver on Saturdays here, and the tracking says between 9:45-12:45 instead of 11:45-3:45. I m just curious, does UPS have trucks that are loaded earlier and go out earlier with the UPS regular NDA mail even if it’s a 2 day package? Completely just out of curiously. It’s an early birthday present and I would be so excited if it got here earlier than 11! Thank you ahead of time!
No those estimated times are made up. All packages go out at the same time except some areas will have separate vans for the occasional early AM’s, but that’s it. The driver isn’t aware of those estimated times and they are not reliable. Expect the package to be delivered anytime from 9:45am-11pm

I hate this. There is zero definition of what "soon" means so it is completely useless. UPS usually comes through my neighborhood late in the evening, but of course the one time I actually have to sign for my package, they tried to deliver at 1329 yesterday afternoon. Whatever, it happens. Today I'm stalking my tracking app and I get a notice of, "Your Driver is Arriving Soon!" So I bustle out of work and head home. I've been here an hour now and have to head back to work, but no sign of the driver. I just completely burned my lunch hour because of this notification and I'm going to miss my delivery again. What is the point of this "feature" if it doesn't actually even mean anything? Why even bother changing from "Out for Delivery" if it's still hours away? /endrant
Update delivery was made four hours after initial status change on the app. Kill the "feature." It's completely useless and only causes user frustration. Drivers get there when they get there. I'm just wanting to know what corporate goon thinks four hours is "soon."
Got a package shipped from Hong Kong. Currently says “confirmed Arrival, United States”. This is a first and tracking hasn’t updated in 2 days since. Does anyone have a clear answer to what this means ?
UPS MyChoice user here. This has been on the tracking page since 10 am and yet now it is 1242 pm and there is no sign of package. Called UPS and they didn’t say much- just that between 9am and 8pm my package would be delivered. Pretty confused to be honest
my package arrived in the city about 45 minutes from mine on Thursday, but it went from California to Florida in less than 30 hours. is my package really just going to be processing in the town over until the delivery date on Tuesday?
Got a delivery time of 1:15pm to 5:15pm tomorrow for an item that requires a signature. Does UPS ever deliver before the delivery time? I was gonna take off, but if I can work half a day and just be home by 1:00pm that’d be great, but I don’t want to miss the package.
Anyone with any experience or knowledge of this?

I’m curious if my package will come tomorrow or on the weekend. It says that it is Richmond BC and I live in Kelowna BC. The estimated shipping date is unknown (can’t find it on my choice app) Any insight would be greatly welcomed 😊
So we have a normal package being shipped thru UPS, and yesterday we were expecting it. It said out for delivery like normal, then the UPS truck came in our duplex's , and never stopped by. It continued to say out for delivery, then today same thing said out for delivery. Waited all day and no delivery. And now they are saying a Severe weather delay. I am in texas and we have not had any severe weather in over a week. Everything is fine the last 7 days. My guess is the package is 1 lost, or someone stole the content/Opened the package to try and steal it and they are delaying the packages arrival to not get them in trouble. 0 reason to have not had it delivered as UPS has been here both days with no stop at out place
Normally needs to get to Louisville by 4-5 am then gets to me next day. Can anyone who works and knows volumes on Xmas eve know if this is possible or not? Thank you
So USPS has informed delivery and even expected delivery emails they send. In addition to seeing what items of mail will be delivered they also show package info, tracking for each day. They also email future expected deliveries.
Does UPS so this? The tech is there and it’s so handy to know when things will arrive (esp things sent to you that you didn’t order yourself or know it was sent via ups).
If it is possible, any info on how to sign up is very much appreciated?
I’ve been expecting a delivery all day. They texted me this morning with a 9:45 AM arrival time.
I’ve been tracking the package and the vehicle has been within 1 mile of my home all morning and afternoon. It’s even delivered packages to residences on adjacent streets in our neighborhood, but not me. It’s like a mile and a half away now and just seems to be doing clockwise laps around neighboring streets making deliveries in business parks and neighborhoods.
I realize there must be some algorithm when it comes to making turns, but I got a message about an hour ago, saying that my delivery would be delayed, but I would still get it today. Now I just watched the driver go around and around and around.
This seems pretty absurd for deliveries requiring confirmation. They’ve totally missed their delivery window and it just makes no sense to me why they would operate this way.
What CAN Brown do for me?
Edit: before anyone else unnecessarily comes for me in the comment section, I am not blaming the driver here. I was just trying to get some clarification on why the expectations set for me by UPS through its official notification channels set me up to stand around for 12 hours because my express package “expected to arrive at 09:45” did not arrive in the projected window. Since my original post, I’ve received another message from UPS saying my package has been delayed, but it will arrive before the end of the day. 21:00
Update: Everything arrived just fine. Several redditors were kind enough to inform me that UPS’s customer notification system is detached from reality and sets expectations that are totally unrealistic and unachievable given well-established delivery priorities. Unless your package is some special ultra premium air shipping you can actually expect your residential delivery to arrive in the afternoon, even if the app and email tell you 09:45.
Hi all - first post ever on Reddit, so I hope I did this correctly.
I’m guessing that someone/something forgot to put my package (it’s an envelope with a notarized document) on the proper plane Saturday morning, missing the Saturday delivery target, and now it’s just sitting there.
I’m just nervous that my package is going to get lost in the shuffle. I’m surprised there’s no scans at all since it has that orange “Saturday delivery” tape on it.
Can any employee/person with knowledge about this let me know if my package is simply waiting for the next plane to Florida? Usually, that departure is between 4am-5am est. Thanks!
Been tracking my package, it's currently less than 2 hours away; arrival scan was 11am.
What are the chances I will get it tomorrow?
i just got hired for preloader & my orientation start date is 7/3 - what should i wear and what should i expect? what does the job actually consist of? a little nervous as it's my first warehouse job but excited. i know there's a lot of physical labor involved - so how do i prepare myself for that?
Workout and strength train NOW!!! LOTS OF STRETCHING!!! Dress for the weather bc it'll be hot as shit! Go to Lowe's and get gloves with grips on the bottom. They usually don't cost more than $8 and are near the section where they make keys. Having grip is CRUCIAL! Makes your job a lot easier. Freeze a couple bottles of water the night before and have them with you. It'll be HOT! GOOD LUCK!! 😊😊😊
Expect to pick things up and put them down. Quickly and safely. Nonstop for 4-5 hours. One 10 minute break.
Missed a delivery that required a signature yesterday. The note on the door said it will be brought to a UPS Access Point for me to pick up. I just checked and it will be there at some point today but it could be as late as 7pm when the store closes.
What is the process here so I have a better picture of how long it will take? In my mind it would’ve just been taken off the truck last night when the truck got back to its home store… but I guess not.
It has my new debit card in there and that’s the only way for me to access my money right now.
