Price was super cheap as I was doing the whole procedure, but in the very last step of the checkout it tripled. I didn't see that and it was too late before I realized, so I went straight into cancelling. This has happened to me once before with DHL and the money was returned immediately. Will it be the case with Ups?
I can not find ANYTHING on the UPS website that tells me if I will get my money back and I just can't navigate the website to contact someone for confirmation on if I will get my money back or not.
I haven't used the label, I don't intend to. I have had confirmation that my shipment was voided 4 days ago but it doesn't say anything about returning the money. Can anyone help ?
i read that i have to do this but does it apply for pickup services?:
-
Calling 1-800-PICK-UPS® (1-800-742-5877) and say “Refund”.
-
Or logging into the UPS Billing Center and selecting Request a Refund.
also the second option is mad confusing yo is the first one easier i cant call them yet cause its night
hello. this is my first time using ups. long story short, i found it really stressful so i voided the booking. does anyone know if i'll be refunded (i don't have a billing account)? i used my card (mastercard) so the payment went through immediately. or do i need to contact anyone and ask for a refund?
also, how long does it usually take for refunds to be reversed?
i'm from the philippines btw. thank you so much.
UPDATE: i just received my refund! it took 10 days. it was credited back to my card automatically :)
Bought live fish. Paid $70 for Next Day Air shipping. Supposed to be here today already, but guess it's delayed. Any way to get a refund on this?
So I created a label through UPS.com and never created an account. I used PayPal to pay for the label. I am trying to void it but have no idea how to manage the label. I tried creating an account using the same email address I used as the shipper but there is no label in my shipping history. I have zero control over it other than an email in my inbox that links to the shipping label.
Hi,
I have old labels created in April this year for sending 14 cartons of an Oversize item. Amazon split it to 3 destinations as usual. I never get to send them. Now I try to get a refund from these unused UPS labels. First step is to cancel the shipments. So I contacted Seller Support and they changed the status from Shipped to Working (which would allow me to cancel shipments).
Do you always get the refund of unused UPS labels? I've read it somewhere that said the refund is issued usually a few weeks after the shipment was cancelled, but I don't know if there are other rules/criteria for example, UPS only gives the refund for unused labels created no more than 90 days, etc.
Please share your experience/opinions. Thank you.
I just got off the phone with UPS regarding my doomed international package and was told there was nothing they could do to reverse the latest status and it was to be returned or destroyed. The woman on the phone told me that UPS is also not distributing any sort of refund at this time. I ordered through a proxy and I’m not sure how to proceed here. I shipped the package through them and also paid a DDP for it. Should I just dispute it all with my bank or the proxy? Idk I’m just kinda over all of this.
I shipped a package on the 17th via 2nd day air, insured for $800, expected delivery on the 19th for $97. It was delivered on the 23rd - 4 days late. I went to the UPS store expecting an easy refund but they said I wasn't due anything since it was an estimated delivery date. "See, right there on the form - Not Guaranteed." I tried through the customer service portal and basically got the same answer.
I appreciate fine-print as much as the next person but this smells mildly of equine droppings. I could have shipped it by snail for far less. How do I get a refund for this?
I voided a shipment with UPS 25 days ago, and they still haven’t refunded me. Their website is an absolute nightmare – confusing, illogical, and impossible to navigate. I contacted customer support, and it’s been a circus of incompetence. Every agent bounces me to another, repeating the same useless instructions like “cancel the shipment” (which I already did). Last agent said that refund should come in 7-14 business days, but there is more already. That's so stupid
Their responses are copy-pasted nonsense, and I’ve had to explain the situation over and over with zero resolution. How can a company this big have such a broken refund process? The entire site – from shipment creation to support – is an unusable mess.
I will NEVER use UPS again. Does anyone know how to escalate this or force a refund? I’m beyond frustrated and ready to file a formal complaint. UPS, fix your system – your service is garbage.
I made the mistake of selling my Oculus Quest 2 on Mercari. I was late on rent and was desperate for $300. I send it out a few days after being listed and was excited for the money. Then the buyer canceled. I called UPS and told them to send it back to me (aka the sender).
So why the hell do they redo the shipment and make the buyer's address the sender? I check tracking today and it's been picked up by the buyer.
I'm basically lost $300. Normally, I won't put up a fight but I can't afford losing this money right now. I don't know what to do. UPS said file a claim but I can't because the sender has the shipping account number apparently and I can't file it. Mercari I really doubt will refund me but I'm waiting on their response. The user of course deleted their account right after so I can't track them.
Is there anything I can do? I'm really desperate for this money back or at least the Oculus.
Edit: UPS managed to let me know that my item wasn't shipped to the buyer but Mercari's Palo Alto address! Wtf. Anyway, hopefully that's an easier problem to solve. We'll see...
Edit 2: Just to clarify a few things, since I misunderstood what had happened and was just pissed writing this post. I shipped out the item and the next day was notified that it was canceled, there was no way for me to override this. I also picked the button that said it was shipped! So I don't know what happened there. Also, I used Mercari's label which meant that the "return to sender" was return to Mercari. My item wasn't shipped to the buyer but is at Mercari which is a whole other problem. Anyways, thanks everyone to your advice and nice words. I really appropriate during this whole mess.
Paid for two day shipping, ups picked up the package on Friday. Still haven’t received it. It’s supposed to show up tomorrow (Wednesday). How do I get a refund?
I ordered some clothes 2 weeks ago and they have not arrived. It failed to deliver and, they said that I didn’t have to do anything for the redelivery, and it’ll be the next delivery day.
I was at a conference about 5 hrs from home and realized I left my wallet at home. My husband went to the UPS store (franchise) and paid for overnight 10am delivery. I see on day 2 at the conference(delivery day!) was delayed in the same town I was in.
I get up on day 3 and realize that it’s not on a truck by 9- I’m leaving at 1. It’s not gonna make it. I call customer service and just ask them to return to sender. They confirm it’s updated and I’m good.
While I’m on my way home I get a notification that it was delivered at the conference location. I had to have them FedEx it back to me overnight.
Is there any way I can get a refund? I’ve called the store and they refuse to answer me. I’ve stopped by multiple times and “a manager that isn’t here will call you.”
The vendor hasn’t sent any notification about my shipment being refunded or canceled.
But when I went to the “SHOP.” App, it said my shipment had been canceled hours after the label was made.
Any idea what this means?
