I am anxiously awaiting my new wheelchair to arrive to a local seating and mobility clinic.
Yesterday, I was notified that it was supposed to be delivered and was sent the tracking number. It displayed a delivery window, but underneath, said, "The package has been rescheduled for a future delivery date." It remained like that even past the delivery window, with no other information.
Today, the exact same thing happened — it was "loaded on delivery vehicle" at 4:30am, "out for delivery" at 9:30am with an estimated window of 3-5pm today, and moved back to "on the way" with this same message, "the package has been rescheduled for a future delivery date," at 10:30am (these are almost the exact same times that the exact same steps happened yesterday). And yet, the big green text under "Estimated Delivery" now says today between 9:15-11:15am (which has since passed), with that 'rescheduled for future' message below it.
Can someone please tell me what this means and why it keeps happening? My custom wheelchair was broken over two months ago, and my entire life has been altered waiting for this to finally arrive.
I had a package that was due to be delivered Friday, the 22nd, but was going to be out of town all weekend. I attempted to have it delivered to a UPS store but the shipper wouldn’t allow an alternate address. I requested for the package to be delivered today, Sept 25th and on the tracking, it shows it should be delivered by 7 pm today, but isn’t out for delivery. The most recent update is from Friday saying the delivery date has been rescheduled by the receiver.
Chances it makes it today.. or at all?
First and probably last time i’ll ever get a delivery from ups. It has been such a pain in the ass to figure out where my expensive package is and their support is terrible. They originally sent out my package to be delivered on a day which did not work for me so i paid to reschedule it to friday after a fews days of waiting it looked like they were just going to bring it on the original date but last minute literally in the middle of the night thursday i got the notification “Delivery successfully rescheduled as customer requested” perfect I couldn’t be happier it should be here the day after just like I needed. And ofc they didn’t show up, so now i’m short a couple dollars and my very expensive package and it’s now past the original date they told me and the date i paid for. They have changed it to “Delivery Estimate pending” I was just going to wait a bit longer as it was only yesterday but apparently they don’t deliver on weekends which means i wouldn’t get it until monday possibly even tuesday which doesn’t work for me. I’m tired of waiting so I want to just go get it myself but I have no idea where it is. According to the tracker it’s been sitting at a location 15 minutes from my house for days and never changed, it doesn’t say that they dropped it off at a ups facility for me to go pick up which tells me they never even put it on a truck despite being days over due now. What do I do?
Happens without fail on any expensive package I need to be home to receive. I live in an apartment complex and don't want valuable items just sitting outside for anyone to take.
When I order stuff like this, I take PTO and stay at home waiting for my item to arrive and without fail on days I take PTO to stay home for a package, UPS sends out an email with "delivery attempted"(always a lie) or "delivery rescheduled".
Today is a little bit different. I got the email that my delivery was rescheduled but the tracking says it's still out for delivery.
So, my question is should I believe the tracking website or the email I got saying the package won't come until tomorrow? If it doesn't come until tomorrow, would I be able to switch the address to somewhere it's less likely to be stolen without delay?
I have some pretty critical deliveries coming, one was an overnight to be delivered Wed, Jan 8th. UPS just rescheduled for the second day and I don't understand (Virginia).
FedEx, Amazon, and Wal-mart have all made deliveries in the past few days are are making deliveries today.
One of my deliveries is a refrigerated item that is very expensive and important.
What gives, UPS?
My package was showing as being "Out for Delivery" this morning, but its changed to 'Reschedule Delivery Requested." I didn't reschedule, no one in my household did, and there was no attempt at delivery, so what does this mean? I've tried to get a hold of someone at ups, but everything leads my back to the automated call which is no help.
Gave me an option to request for delivery tomorrow (it was scheduled for the 12th but was just dropped off at a ups store so hasn’t even been picked up yet) will it basically upgrade to overnight once picked up? Or does reschedule delivery option rarely work?
My package was supposed to get here on the 22nd , it never arrived that day then it gave me the “We’re sorry this package has experienced a sortation delay. The package has been rerouted to the correct destination.” at the end of the day. then today the 24th, it said delivery was rescheduled. Yes, i called UPS customer service and spoke to a representative but she kept repeating to wait 24hours.. but it’s been longer since 24 hours. My main question is will my package even arrive, if so how long will it take to get here? If you guys have any similar experience.
I bought something that got shipped out via UPS on Tuesday. It’s now Sunday and I’ve received 6 emails all throughout that UPS keeps rescheduling my delivery date. It keeps bouncing back and forth between two dates.
For example I got an email at 7:20 that it was rescheduled for Tuesday. Then got another at 7:32 that it was rescheduled for Wednesday. And this has been going on every day.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening. And should I be worried? Thank you!
It's from eBay, so they apparently, intentionally won't let you setup a pick-up in store option. I'm honestly stumped.
***UPDATE***
Requested on a Saturday to be delivered on the upcoming Wednesday.
Got an email stating that the request had been fulfilled, expected on Wednesday between 11am-2pm. It didn't even go out for delivery.
UPS tried to deliver on Thursday while I was working.
Currently getting sent back to the seller.
I probably made a mistake by requesting delivery change. I saw it gave me option to have it one day and be delivered today so I paid it and went for it. lol
Now the package looks like it is lost and hasn’t been scanned since drop off.
Any ideas what’s going on for those that have been through this?
Thanks!
Hi,
I’m looking for some insights into the delivery process for my order. I saved for months and bought a device from Lenovo priced around $700. They shipped it to me through UPS. It was supposed to arrive on Thursday, which then got changed to Friday. The delivery requires signature and I can’t e-sign due to shipper restrictions. The only thing I can change about my delivery is the delivery date, everything else like pickup from an access point is restricted.
Since I work 8am to 6pm on all weekdays (and some saturdays) and can’t work from home, I asked my friend to work from home to receive the package on Thursday- when it didn’t go out for delivery. It said it would be delivered on Friday but neither me or my friend could be home to receive it. I contacted UPS customer service who said I should talk to the shipper (aka Lenovo) to remove restrictions on delivery so that I can pick it up. Lenovo customer service said they can not change shipping instructions and would refund me if the package was returned to sender after three failed delivery attempts.
Since there no other option seemed viable, I decided to pay for a change of delivery date to Saturday (2/28), when I can manage my time to be at home. Now my delivery date says Monday (3/2) between 2 and 6 pm - when I would not be home. My friend is leaving town on Sunday so they can’t receive it for me either. I’m at my wits end. I don’t want to have three missed deliveries and be refunded - I want the device I’ve been wanting to buy for years. If someone has any clue what can be done please let me know. I don’t have any days off left and will get a pay cut if I don’t go :(
Edit- based in Iowa, USA
I live in Europe and I got a parcel sent through UPS Standard (freight) on Monday.
Usually takes 3 working days or so. Last night it left the origin country's hub, and later today it should arrive to the destination, meaning I "should" be getting it by Thursday.
However, on my tracking page it says: 'Rescheduled delivery: Friday, December 1st'
Is this because high demand, or what gives? There are no delays in my parcel and everything is going smoothly (according to the tracking) yet I will be receiving it 1 day later. I also got no email but this has become commonplace for me.
Also, rescheduled by whom? Neither me or the shipper requested any changes.
I called CS but I shouldn't have bothered because they could be of no help, besides telling me that it was scheduled for Friday, which I already knew. I don't think they know much more than what's already shown.
Anyone in a similar situation?
I recently signed up for UPS my choice. It’s happened twice now where I get a notification at around noon that I requested a delivery date change, except I didn’t. Both times it was Amazon packages. In both cases the package was scheduled for delivery the next day. I was able to go into the app, cancel the request, and resubmit a date change back to the original date.
I’ve changed my password but highly doubt someone was messing with me. Anyone else have this happen?
I called UPS but they said from their side it looks like I requested the date change.
I had a package go to “out for delivery” this morning and I saw the ups truck pull into my driveway, the driver didn’t get out, and then drove away. I refreshed the page and now it says “rescheduled delivery requested”, what does this likely mean? I couldn’t meet the driver outside to ask Bc I was working but now I don’t know what to do, this was a really important shipment and the person I received from got 2nd day…
Driver can’t find package in truck do to too many other packages or the loader didn’t put it in it’s designated section. If driver finds it later they are required to attempt delivery. Another possibility is it was loaded on another truck, that driver may or may not be required to attempt delivery today. Good Luck.
Couldn't find the package
My package was out for delivery Friday morning to the local UPS store (on Wednesday, I requested it be held at the UPS store for pickup, as I wasn’t going to be home and didn’t want it sitting outside my apartment. I’ve picked up tons of packages at the UPS store with no issues in the past), but then at 10:41 AM, the tracking changed to say “the package has been rescheduled for a future delivery date.” It was still showing Friday, 6/10, as the expected delivery date though, so I didn’t worry too much about it. But then it never got delivered, and ever since Friday night, the expected delivery date just says “The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.” I called the automated number and entered my tracking number, and it said that the receiver has requested the package be held for delivery on a later date (which I definitely didn’t do). Then I finally got a real person on the phone, and all she could say is that they don’t know where the package is, and since it hasn’t been scanned in over 24 hours, I should initiate a trace. She sent me an email with the instructions for filing a claim though. Are a trace and a claim the same thing? Is it possible it just got put on the wrong truck and will get delivered to the UPS store tomorrow? There have been no tracking updates since Friday morning when it said “The package has been rescheduled for a future delivery date.” Thanks for your help!
UPS driver shows up to my door with package in hand, but his device tells him that it was rescheduled for delivery tomorrow. He doesn’t give me the package since he has to follow the rules. Apple support says it could be due to the carriers policies.
Has this happened to anyone else? I don’t want the same thing to happen tomorrow.
Yesterday, on the iPhone release, there was a message that popped up every time we scanned it. "Apple no DR bring to clerk for Saturday delivery" our center clarified to attempt delivery and then bring to clerk. I'm assuming not everyone got that message. DR stands for driver release, which means we need a signature, btw. Don't blame your drivers. There was a mistake made at the corporate level. Mistakes happen.
We literally cannot deliver packages that come up as rescheduled/rerouted when we scan them. We used to be able to override it, but with the new scanners, there's literally nothing we can do.
Like we don't even get a 'deliver' button to press. It just asks to confirm rerouting the package, and that's the ball game.
Can someone please explain the methodology on which order deliveries take place?
Can someone please explain what happens when a delivery gets missed and gets rescheduled for the next day?
For the past 9 months or so, every time I have an item initially "on vehicle for delivery", it does not come and I get an email at 9 pm saying "there was a problem and my item will delivered the next business day"
Well the problem, this occurs every time I'm supposed to get a delivery. What is annoying is I'll watch the truck tracker and see the vehicle literally around the corner and do I get my item? nope. I'll check again at 6pm and the vehicle is at the Redmond, WA hub
The other issue is, if I was originally supposed to get my item on Friday, it gets rescheduled for Saturday. Now I have to cancel my plans because the website won't let me reschedule, etc without needing the shipper to do something or having to pay some fee.
The third issue is the constant "there was a problem with your delivery". Part of me wants to believe that the trucks starts in the same area of the route and for whatever reason, I'm located in an area that is "out of the way"
