877-289-6418, option 4 (other) I just was able to speak to a live UPS person about my delivery issue (3 failed delivery attempts, even though I was home, and now being returned to sender). Found out the identity of the sender, contacted sender, and make alternative arrangements. I chose call-back option and got a call back within 10 minutes. It seems to me that 800-742-5877 is strictly Artificial Intelligence no matter what time you call.
I’ve tried all the different tactics on here inorder to speak to a real human, and I just can’t get through that stupid stupid robot. Seems like they patched all the old ones. I tried speaking gibberish and it hung up on me. Someone please help
Calling UPS customer service is a nightmare. They give you the run around and go out of their way to keep you from being able to speak with an actual person.
Call 1-800-PICK-UPS and say "Tracking". The robot will then prompt you to put in a tracking number..... do so and you will then receive your tracking status. After that say "CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!". Make sure to yell it just in case the stupid robot didnt hear you the first time. It will then say "That is the latest info we have on the status of your package.... would you still like to speak to a customer service representitive?" Then you of course say "YES!". A gain, make sure to yell it so they hear you. You will be put on hold for eternity, but will eventually speak to an actual person..... unfortunately, they probably "Don't English so good." So you will have to deal with that..... but anyways, there you go.
P.s. You can also say "customer service" right at the beginning. But they will still make you put in a tracking number anyways.
