August 19, 2023 -

hello. this is my first time using ups. long story short, i found it really stressful so i voided the booking. does anyone know if i'll be refunded (i don't have a billing account)? i used my card (mastercard) so the payment went through immediately. or do i need to contact anyone and ask for a refund?

also, how long does it usually take for refunds to be reversed?

i'm from the philippines btw. thank you so much.

UPDATE: i just received my refund! it took 10 days. it was credited back to my card automatically :)

Refund confusion : r/UPS
November 19, 2025 - UPS stores are privately owned franchises. Did you have them package it for you? Where they are taking a loss would be the envelope and label. Additionally UPS gives them a small kickback for any packages they send out/receive from customers. So they would be losing that by voiding the shipment.

r/UPS on Reddit: UPS voided shipment refund?
January 7, 2025 -

I voided a shipment with UPS 25 days ago, and they still haven’t refunded me. Their website is an absolute nightmare – confusing, illogical, and impossible to navigate. I contacted customer support, and it’s been a circus of incompetence. Every agent bounces me to another, repeating the same useless instructions like “cancel the shipment” (which I already did). Last agent said that refund should come in 7-14 business days, but there is more already. That's so stupid

Their responses are copy-pasted nonsense, and I’ve had to explain the situation over and over with zero resolution. How can a company this big have such a broken refund process? The entire site – from shipment creation to support – is an unusable mess.

I will NEVER use UPS again. Does anyone know how to escalate this or force a refund? I’m beyond frustrated and ready to file a formal complaint. UPS, fix your system – your service is garbage.

r/UPS on Reddit: Void return shipping label or good to go?
July 10, 2025 -

I was using a preprinted return label to send in an envelope with documents and the associate scanned it in at the store. It is in our outbound package (separate tracking number) going the correct way, but it is currently still listed as "Dropped off at UPS Store by Customer."

Ideally - this label would have just been put in the envelope and still just listed as "label created" with no additional updates having never been scanned.

I called the store and they ensured they voided it, so it could still be used by my recipient, but I'm wondering if anyone knows

A) If I should be seeing something different in tracking
B) If my recipient can still use this return label after it says dropped off at UPS store

Just want to ensure as I need to make alternative plans if this label is no longer good for use - thanks!

r/UPS on Reddit: UPS Shipment Voided Refund
March 9, 2021 -

Hi, today I went to create a label for an order I had and I accidentally entered the wrong information, so I voided the shipment. In PayPal, it says "Your payment method will be charged when UPS completes your order", so since I voided it I won't have to worry about being charged, correct. If not will I still get a refund because I voided the shipment?

Any help is appreciated :)

r/UPS on Reddit: Help with voiding a label?
October 25, 2025 -

Sorry if this has been asked many times before. I guess you could say this post is me seeking clarification.

Today, I was preparing a package I was ready to ship. I prepared a label and just needed to print. I payed for the label and was just trying to figure out how to use my printer (since it was my first time using it). The page refreshed and I had to do the process again.

I was also preparing a trip to the mall with a friend. And when I went to check my account, I noticed a good chunk of cash was gone. I checked my recent activity and saw that I was charged twice for the label (including the first unused attempt). When it was time to drop my package off, I asked my local UPS about this. They said I could call UPS (they gave me a #). OR, I could just wait until the unused label expires.

I am thinking of calling in tomorrow morning to ask. I unfortunately didn't have an account when printing, and it's been confusing going on the website and trying to figure out billing and all that.

Would y'all recommend that I call in, or simply wait for the label to expire?

r/UPS on Reddit: Shipment VOID status?
May 19, 2024 -

I have in my UPS app my package was picked up at 6:37 PM basically the same date and time shown when I signed up for notifications.

It is Saturday and still hasn't shown anything but a Pickup Scan in my App and I do have My Choice.

I signed in to website and it shows On the Way, so I signed up for text notifications.

This is the first text I got. I never have seen the status of SHIPMENT VOID ever in my history of UPS.

So now I'm confused. Is it picked up as the app and website show, although no Origin Scan or movement and it I'd past delivery date it shows.

So what does this mean?

Thanks

r/UPS on Reddit: UPS delivered next day am package 6 days late, not eligable for refund
August 17, 2025 -

This isn't the first time UPS has stole from me. I paid $586 to ship a package from Texas to California next day AM. They picked it up at the business on a Wednesday. It took 6 days for it to be delivered. I disputed it, they said its my fault. I disputed it again and they said its not eligable due to thier tariff policy. I called the local sort center and the woman on the phone said the guy there fucked up and she would submit it for refund. I billed the customer for this when I shipped to the customer, they said they arent paying for it.

Clearly UPS doesnt give a fuck about me or anyone else who isnt UPS.

r/FulfillmentByAmazon on Reddit: Do you always get a refund back from unused UPS labels?
June 30, 2023 -

Hi,

I have old labels created in April this year for sending 14 cartons of an Oversize item. Amazon split it to 3 destinations as usual. I never get to send them. Now I try to get a refund from these unused UPS labels. First step is to cancel the shipments. So I contacted Seller Support and they changed the status from Shipped to Working (which would allow me to cancel shipments).

Do you always get the refund of unused UPS labels? I've read it somewhere that said the refund is issued usually a few weeks after the shipment was cancelled, but I don't know if there are other rules/criteria for example, UPS only gives the refund for unused labels created no more than 90 days, etc.

Please share your experience/opinions. Thank you.

r/UPS on Reddit: How do I void a shipment label, paid by credit card?
February 4, 2020 -

Hi! Today, I created a shipping label via UPS, and I wanted to update the weight of the package, in case that would affect the price of the shipping label. In attempting to do so, I voided the shipping label.

Then, I stumbled across this page: https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/shipping-support/void-shipment.page

There, it says that "packages that are created using a payment card such as a debit or credit card are not eligible for voiding through the Void a Shipment tool."

I had paid by credit card and was able to seemingly void the package, as I can no longer access the page to print the shipping label. Is there any way to un-void the shipping label? If not, will I receive a refund to my credit card?

Finally, I have already printed the shipping label. Would it be possible to use the shipping label, despite being voided?

------

resolved: after calling the billing center, the rep stated that created shipping labels appear as pending charges on a credit card. Since the shipping label was voided, there will be no charge to the credit card.
