October 10, 2010I brought this board from Amazon.It blinks when I plug into my laptop.But I couldn't work with it. It shows as "USB 2.0-Ser!" in the device manager. And I couldn't update drivers too.Any idea what I am missing here? Thanks in advance (Sorry for the bad English)

October 14, 2021 - The reason for this is that the driver is chosen based on the device ID from the USB device (it's actually two IDs, the PID and the VID) so boards using the same adaptor chips always have the same USB IDs because that's what's on the hardware whilst if a microcontroller is used for USB comms, it's down to the software which PID and VID are given to the computer for that USB device.
