I have several I use with an S23 and Pixel 7. This one I keep in my car, and I admittedly haven't used it much, so I can't speak for it's overall reliability. The few times I've used it were just a couple minutes, and it worked fine. - audio + charging. This one I use at my PC desk. I use it daily to port audio from my phone into my PC. When power is first connected there is about 2 seconds of buzzing as the charge in the system equalizes (i think), then it goes away & the audio is perfect & never comes back. If power isn't connected, there's no buzzing at all. - Audio + charging. Anker straight USB to 3.5mm. Pure & simple. This is the one my wife carries in her purse, to use with her Pixel 7. She hasn't voiced any complaints to me about anything with it. She's used it to drive some larger Hyper-X PC headphones. - Audio only. This one I use in my work bag. It's a little bulkier, but so far it's been solid. I haven't used it in a while, but I don't remember it having any of the 'buzzing' mentioned with the other adapter. - Audio + charging. I've had all of these for 1-2 years. The 2nd & 3rd ones get used the most, and have held up just fine. For charging, the 2nd & 4th adapter do support "Fast Charging" with my S23, and a 30W Google charging brick. A few months ago I finally had to trade in my old s9 for an s22 and by far the biggest drawback is the lack of a headphone jack since I rely on my wired noise cancelling headphones daily. I've gone through a few adapters already and all have had serious issues or broken after a few uses. Two were from Anker and both would randomly blare loud static and needed to be held at a certain angle to work which was disappointing because I've gotten good Anker cables before, and most recently I got the google one as recommended by another post but after only a few uses it's stopping my music randomly for no apparent reason. Anyone have other suggestions? I'd really like to believe it's not a phone issue since this has been happening since the phone was brand new. Thanks!

I've used the Google version, Apple version, and the Essential PH-1 adapter. The Essential is my favorite, but it's discontinued. Apple works fine. Honestly, I've switched to BT noise cancelling headphones and haven't looked back, specifically the Sony WF-1000XM5.

The inexpensive $8 Apple USB-C headphone adapter (meant for iPad Pro and MacBooks) is actually bidirectional. It only registers if something is plugged into the 3.5mm jack, otherwise it is dormant. Supposedlt it even responds to cable remote-control signals. That does not mean the headphones will recognize it, they may have the OEM cable's USB device IDs hardcoded. Hello all! I have the Master and Dynamic MH40 headphones. They are bluetooth, but also include a cable for wired listening. My problem is this - the cable sends to a USB-C input on the headphones... so it's a cable with a 3.5mm connector on one end and USB-C on the other, but it works the opposite direction of every other USB-C/3.5mm cable on the market (which all seem to be designed to take the audio from USB-C outputs like cell phones and send TO the 3.5mm).
I need a cable where I can plug the 3.5mm jack into my output source, and send the audio TO the USB-C (which is the input on the headphones).
Does anyone know any manufacturers that make a cable like this?
