Why can't I playback Netflix or other HDCP content with my USB video adapter?
How do I uninstall a StarTech.com USB video adapter driver from Windows?
Will my touchscreen / all-in-one computer work with a USB Video Adapter?
Looking on Amazon the results are mixed. All I need is to be able to display the video output from a usb3.0 port to an hdmi monitor. Im using the existing hdmi port already and the usbc port apparently data only.
Im looking at something like this, but just curious if anyone had any specific recommendations of ones they have used in the past.

I've been thinking about connecting my laptop to the TV at my Dad's house, it's a Samsung Smart TV and I have no idea what make it is or how long he's had it, but it appears to only have 2 HDMI ports that are in use. One of them is for the Amazon cube and I dare not unplug that, the other one is something I can't tell what it's connected to but it might be something important like the speakers and I would rather not mess with that one either. But there are some free USB ports.
So what I want to know is, is it possible for me to display what's on my laptop screen on the TV by using a HDMI-USB adaptor? Or does it only work the other way? My laptop doesn't seem to have a HDMI port so I might have to use an adapter on that end as well which might mess with things. So what do I do?
Sorry if I used the wrong flair.
