What is the forecast for CAD to USD in 2030?
Is CAD to USD a buy or sell?
What is USDCAD exchange rate today?
I preface this by stating that I understand that the future in unknown and no one knows for sure.
That said, with a lot of financial wizards in this subreddit I wonder if anyone has ideas about the future of USD / CAD rates.
A couple of months ago CAD was as low as 1 USD = 1.39 CAD. Since late October we've gained steadily and are now up to 1 USD = 1.32 CAD.
Interestingly enough we're not gaining against all currencies - example Mexican peso - 1 CAD = 12.8 Pesos at the moment which is the lowest I've ever seen it. We're often at 1 CAD = 15 Pesos and during covid even hit 1 CAD = 17 Pesos.
But getting back to the question, is our gains against the USD seen as a positive outlook for the Canadian economic future? Are we just regaining back to more normal exchange rates, and can expect CAD to continue to rise?
I'm paid for my work in USD that's why this is of particular interest to me. Appreciate any insights.
