There’s a big difference between buying a used keyboard vs. buying a used real piano. Generally buying a used keyboard is safer than buying a used real piano. The P45 is decent but you should get a P-125 instead, they are better. Basically for digital you want to test every key and make sure it works in person…and that there’s no faulty things with the electronics in general with volume, etc. Ask if it has been moved a lot or used for gigs a lot. Low price doesn’t necessarily mean bad or suspicious, they may just be trying to get rid of it as soon as possible with a lower price. Either way, for any listing ask if there’s any damage or any keys that don’t work before you test it out in person. More on reddit.com

Currently I’m using a Yamaha ESR373 and I recently noticed a a P71 with a wooden stand and seat on OfferUp for 350$, it looks like a good deal and most of the reviews I see online say nothing bad. But I’ve only been consistently playing recently for about 2 weeks (sporadically for the past 1 year). Is it a smart idea for me to upgrade to the P71 and is 350$ a fair price?
