I've notied that many of you adhere to the belief that you are only worth as much as you put in. In otherwords, that people each have a different merit of value and that determines how useful they are to society.

For example, on the subject of caring for mentally disabled people, an empath might say something like "They may be lower functioning, but they are still humans all the same and we should care and provide for them and their families through times of hardship", while a sociopath would say "I believe that mentally disabled people should be euthanized from birth as they have no place in society, contribute next to nothing, and millions of dollars are wasted in trying to provide the basic necessities for them. Or we could conduct various expirements on them to determine the cause of their deficiency and hopefully find a cure for the disorder so that it no longer plagues us in future generations".

So, who exactly would you define as 'useless' and what should we do with them?
