Customs declaration when shipping to overseas military
How do I mail a care package?
USPS.com printed customs forms not accepted by local post offices?
Military Sale/Tracking/Custom's Form? Eeek!
You don’t need a customs form because you’re not shipping to a foreign country. You’re shipping to a consolidation hub in the US, and the military takes over delivery from there. The package is destined for US temporary soil in a foreign country. It’s all part of our agreements with those host countries. These packages can take a long time because they’re shipped as space is available. When I lived in Germany we once had a package take 6 months to arrive.

I am not entirely sure if this is the right place for this question. As the title says, I am filling out the customs declaration to ship a package overseas. I understand I need to be fairly specific, but want to know exactly how specific when it comes to two items.
I have two different types of jerky I’m sending (beef and turkey). Do I need to put those on separate lines or can I write them in as “jerky” or “meat jerky”.
I have prepackaged trail mix and smoked peanuts. Do those need to be on a separate line or can I write them in as “nut trail mix” or something along those lines.
If I don’t hear from anyone before I send this, I’ll error on the side of caution and declare them individually. I was just hoping I didn’t have to since it would mean filling out another form since the first doesn’t have enough room.
