April 27, 2023 - The Post Office Sorting machines scan the envelop and ebay has access to know when it has been scanned. I will not show up on USPS.com or with tracking from each usps location.

I sent the card via eBay Standard Envelope in it shows as having been delivered on Friday. For standard envelope "delivered" is just a best guess based on when it was scanned through the sorting machines. No employee ever manually scans these, so it is possible that it still might get delivered in a day or two if the mail carrier or post office mixed up something. Or maybe it got put in a neighbors mailbox. Or maybe it fell off the truck and is lost forever. You are insured for up to $20 though. This Link has instructions on how to file a claim. When did you ship and when was it delivered? Usps routinely messes up the tracking-a lot of it is done manually and they have entered a “delivered” scan in error. More on reddit.com

Take the tracking to your local usps office and ask for the gps coordinates. They can verify if item was actually delivered to your doorstep and not your neighbors. And SELLER not buyer will win any INR case. It's possible you have a porch pirate More on reddit.com

A customer purchased a trading card from me at auction, total being around $13. I sent the card via eBay Standard Envelope in it shows as having been delivered on Friday.
This weekend the buyer messages me saying the card has not arrived, and is trying to go through USPS to find it. According to him, USPS needs a full tracking number, not the one eBay uses for standard envelope. I messaged him back saying that I only have the number provided by eBay. He accepted that answer, but then messaged me back today saying it looks like he’s out of luck and asking me if I have another copy of the card.
I’m smelling a rat, but I guess I should ask to be sure...do eBay tracking numbers (ESU123456, for example) have a USPS counterpart that can be used on their site?
