Iโve seen Bloomberg evaluation at ~ $8 billion, but it does seem like an undervaluation, by a lot (especially when its 2022 revenue is around $13 billion).
It can make money from:
30% cut for every game sold on platform - obviously the biggest source of income. Easiest to deduce.
Micro transactions - pretty sure this one is undervalued, by a lot. There are a lot of people playing CS.Go and Dota (still), and in both games you can spend ungodly amounts of money to get your shiny pixels. Knowing people, Iโm pretty sure they do that all the time.
Game items market fee - that one I think is huge, just by sheer amount of transactions, and it seems no one even cares about it.
Did I miss anything? What do you think is more real evaluation?
Edit: my take is - north of x20 of what Bloomberg said, but less than x100.

I wonder, how much Valve worth?
Valve is likely worth far more than we think it is.
Valve is a privately owned company with no IPO so that number is just a speculative number of how much the corporation is worth it doesnโt have to do with profits or revenue. If Gabe decides to take valve public that number would most likely increase substantially.
Atleast thatโs my understanding. I could very well be wrong Iโm not an expert at all
