From a technical point of view, even for people who don't love a vanilla note, this perfume is a technical and execution masterpiece. I'm shocked after getting a sample, l immediately went to read more about it and its formula. The balance in the notes is insanely well done.
Calling it a masterpiece is not just like poetic fluff to me, it's technically brilliant.
The balance is the first thing that comes to mind, Vanillas tend to fall into extremes, either overly sweet and syrupy (a gourmand overload) or too simplistic (flat and cheap smelling). Vanilla Powder strikes a perfect balance between vanilla sweetness and fresh and clean, but never cloying or overwhelming. It's minimalist but executed so well honestly hands down to Matiere Premiere.
It has a powdery note, which I can sometimes associate with old school perfumes and more outdated fragrances that usually I dislike, but in Vanilla Powder is just incredibly fresh and clean, airy and modern, and timeless at the same time. I see myself using this year round, for any occasion. It's interesting enough to stand out and be a signature scent, while also being a crowd pleaser.
I recently got a sample of it and was my all time favourite out of 12 different decants, it's just insanely good. The price point in Canadian $ (my currency) is a little wild but omg I could not resist and as of now I'm waiting for my order to be delivered.
That being said, its an absolute beast of a perfume in terms of performance. Without being loud and headache inducing, I could smell it on me after 8+ hours and even after showering, so definitely be mindful of over spraying.
On clothes, I have not yet washed the shirt I wore last week when I used Vanilla Powder and it’s still softy smells like it.
Hands down, my current obsession and might my all-favorite
