Signing up to give my kid a card to use on outings for school so I don't have to run to the ATM or raid big sister's savings. Will she continue to have access to the debit card, etc, when she turns 18, just without the parental controls in place, or does something else happen?

Teen is mowing lawns this summer for some extra spending money.
We started with people paying my Venmo- but he needs some autonomy to learn.
Looked into teen Venmo + debit card. Concern that he can’t really save money from there and will have access to all of it (and the safety of that?)
Other simple ideas that we can help manage and make it easy for neighbors to pay?
Venmo really seems like the easiest person to person payment, just wanting to make sure I’m not missing any potential headaches! Thanks!
My son recently signed up for Venmo without telling me, and said he was above 18. Then his brother sent him 40$ and now we don't know how to get the money out because he is not above 18. So what would happen if we submitted a government passport under 18? Is there anyways to get out of this situation?
My 17 yr old created a Venmo account to get paid for a dog sitting job. Only after she got paid did we realize you have to be 18 to use Venmo. She wants to take the money out of her Venmo acct and deposit it into her bank account, but we cannot do that with out her doing the identity verification. If we do the identity verification Venmo will realize she is not 18. Anyone know how to get around this? Or, if she leaves the money in there till she is 18 and then verifies her identity would that work?
