How safe are we heating our 250sqft house with ventless natural gas?
Mr. Heater 30,000 BTU Vent Free Safe for Garage
unbiased truth about ventless gas fireplaces?
Tell me about vent-free natgas heaters
They are truly vent free meaning that the combustion goes directly into your house. Some people don't mind it, some do.
I will say that I hesitantly used one in my upstairs last winter because of necessity. The amount of moisture these put out is appreciable, feels awesome but it had me thinking about how it was probably freezing onto the inside of my exterior sheathing. I was working in a gutted room below the heated area in the Spring and as the temperatures rose it was suddenly as though I had a roof leak, and it lasted for a few days. I personally wouldn't recommend something that will potentially rot out your walls from the inside.

Morning all,
I built a bar / office in my garage during COVID that I use all the time in the warmer months (northern Illinois). I intend to run gas to the garage to install a heater. My dad proactively bought me a Mr. Heater 30,000 BTU Vent Free Blue Flame Natural Gas Heater for Christmas. Are these vent free heaters safe? I'm finding mixed reviews online and don't want to install a safety concern.
Thanks!
