Trying to time an upgrade by end of month. Does anyone know how long Verizon typically runs its 800 trade in offer for upgrading an existing line. If I recall, they dropped it to around half that amount before iPhone 14 launch and then put it back in around sept 20.
I went to the store to upgrade from a S21 to a S23 after getting a bunch of texts over the last couple months about the promo. Guy was really nice, but the one thing about this promo is that I'd be locked into a plan that's $30 more a month. So over $100 a month. I thought there'd be options with the "select plans req'd" part. Regardless, I imagine that's how they make their money on giving away a new phone for one that has a trade-in value of $80 without the offer.
Anybody take advantage of this offer and has it been worth it? Thanks in advance for any input
I have pixel 7 pro on unlimited ultimate, looking to get an iPhone 16 pro Max (comes out late September). Does this deal happen all the time or is it a timed promo? Thx.
Verizon is telling me that if I trade in my old 4 year old iPhone XR I can get 800 dollars trade in credit toward iPhone 14 which means that I get this phone for free. Is this legitimate? Seems too good to be true.
Hi All,
I have a couple lines on my account that have a targeted offer for $800 off an iPhone 13 with trade in and “any” unlimited plan.
When I go through to upgrade one of my lines it asks me to input my trade in device for the line - it is an iPhone 12 mini with zero damage. The system comes back and says I get $650 in trade in credit, not the $800. The line is on Play More Unlimited 5G UW.
I have another line with the same offer but with an iPhone XR on Start Unlimited. It also says it gets $650 in trade in, not $800.
Is there some kind of fine print in missing? Shouldn’t it qualify for the full $800? Are there only “select” that qualify for the $800 off?
EDIT: Thanks for all the responses, especially those that confirmed that the straight up $800 upgrade promo is valid. I tried it again this morning online during non-peak hours. I was able to process BOTH upgrades for the full $800 trade in credit on each line, reading in an iPhone XR and iPhone 12 mini for an iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, respectively. I did the exact same steps as yesterday, but was getting $650 yesterday. There must be significant bugginess on the Verizon system surrounding this promotion.
