Is this vertical wood siding common? Cannot find at home depot
Vertical vs. Horizontal vinyl siding?
We wanted a vertical install profile on vinyl siding. Contractor is says these holes come in the siding “we picked” from a 8 inch sample in the office. What can be done?

Which brand has the largest assortment of Siding at The Home Depot?
What's the top-selling product within Siding?
Hey there,
I replaced a door with a window, and need to install some siding below the new window.
I cannot seem to find this siding in Home Depot. I think these are individual boards which overlap. The distance on center varies, but is between 8.25 and 8.75" it seems. Here is a picture with dimensions:

Any idea where I could get something similar? Or an idea of what else I could do to fill the siding gap?
Thanks!
Considering vertical, at least in places, as we love the way it looks.
Has anyone here installed it or had it installed on their home?
Having read a bit, I see a few things that make me wonder.
First: Harder to install. so more expensive. One contractor said this was because installers are far less experienced with installing it. So... Homeowners are expected to pay for their team's education? (Hire some more experienced installers. I know you don't want to pay for that, though.)
Second: Makes your house "stand out" or "look different" from your neighbors' homes: We're OK with that. We're not planning on fluorescent orange or anything.
Material costs: Higher. I assume this is because of lower production volumes, but I didn't see anything definitive.
Again...we really like it, but I figured I'd ask here. Thanks!
