VGA connector pinout | 15 Pin Vga Cable Wiring Diagram
In the original version of DE-15 pinout, one pin was keyed by plugging the female connector hole; this prevented non-VGA 15 pin cables from being plugged into a VGA socket. Four pins carried Monitor ID bits which were rarely used; VESA DDC redefined some of these pins and replaced the key pin with +5 V DC power supply.
Help, need a diagram/list of what wire does what in the video cable for the Dell E773s CRT monitor, trying to fix a broken vga cable
You'll have to test continuity with a multimeter. There is no industry-standard color code. There's no guarantee if Dell even used the same color code from one month to the next. More on reddit.com
Need help with a VGA connector.
What exactly is the issue? Use the screw terminals and maybe tape over it to be safe. More on reddit.com
How do I lnow what each cable does in a VGA cable?
Well, the coaxial/shielded ones are gonna be your rgb signals. And another of those will be the sync id bet. Gotta look at the board in the crt and see where they end up on what chips. Trace it out, look up the data sheets for the chips, see what pins are what inputs. You might also get lucky and their purpose will be on the silkscreen of the crt pcb right next to where each connects. More on reddit.com

What is the difference between 6 pin and 8-pin VGA?
A 6-pin connector delivers up to 75W; an 8-pin connector delivers up to 150W. 8-pin connectors are suited for high-performance GPUs; 6-pin connectors are ideal for lower-power cards.

Your questions not the clearest TBH, maybe look at making it clearer by adding more information. I'm not quite sure exactly what you're trying to do. If its simply connecting a VGA connector then you will find a VGA wiring diagram here

I would not rely on the colour of the wires. Each manufacturer may have used a different colour code. However, if you know what each wire "does", the German Wikipedia article has a VGA pinout. Translating from that article:
- Red
- Green
- Blue
- ID2
- Ground for DDC
- Ground for red
- Ground for green
- Ground for blue
- n/c
- Ground for sync
- ID0
- ID1 or DDC data
- Horizontal sync
- Vertical sync
- DDC clock
The numbers relate to this picture from Wikimedia Commons, but should also be printed on your connector:

VGA Connector Pinout: A Comprehensive Guide
The 15-pin DE-15 pinout assigns tasks to every pin. Pins 1, 2, and 3 manage RGB signals, and pin 9 handles +5V DDC power. Sync relies on pins 13 and 14. Use diagrams to verify the 2048 x 1536 resolution setup. This validation ensures all functions work well. When making VGA cables, you must ...
