I did these for a neighbor and thought they might be of interest here. I was posting these in Historic Homes but the last post in that sub was two years ago. These are all authentic color combinations from paint catalogs dating 1885 to 1920.
So I’ve just moved into this home and really wanted to try my hand at making my room feel intentional yet cozy and warm. I had no idea where to start so I asked my dear friend ChatGPT.
I got started on the idea and have been picking up pieces here and there from antique shops, estate sales, and Facebook marketplace. I went to Vizcaya a couple of months ago and fell in love. I wanted it to have that same feel (minus the multibillion dollar estate). It’s not perfect but I love how it’s coming out. I’ve never had a space feel so warm and loving??? (I know that’s weird) but it feels like a home I’ve been longing for. I’m thinking of bringing in more of an emerald green into the mix but don’t know how to execute.
Any ideas on what I should add?
