Setting up a Podcast Studio, any advice welcomed!
Podcast Video Set Up
Do you have any ideas about what equipment you're looking at? Like what lights, how many, size, shape, features, power What cameras, what were you planning on useing to to switch? Are you looking at using a hardware switcher, or are you having them all input into a workstation individually and using software? are you looking for a PTZ system? how big is the room? do you need ultra shallow DOF or would just a bunch of permanently powered sony ax43 on some C stands into an atem mini be perfect?

Video Podcast Multicam Setup: Help with setup and best practices?

Hello!
My name is César and I've been working in the film industry as an audio technician for 6+ years, mostly out in Los Angeles. Due to the recent struggles the industry, and California, have had recently I've decided to branch out and set up my own podcast studio back in my home country.
I'm familiar with multi track audio recordings, as that is my job, but I'm a little green with multi feed video recording in this kind of set up. At the same time I'm not sure what kind of gear is best for something like this. My budget for setting this up is around $5,000.00 (hopefully not that high) and I've been looking at Lumix cameras and Rode XLR mics to start off. I already have the audio interface and software all sorted, as well as what lights would be ideal for this set up.
Any advice on gear is more than welcomed, as well as how it is best to record multi person podcasts. To my understanding some people press record on all cameras and let it run, but others do live switching which I'm familiar with but I'd have to learn more of before even attempting it.
Thank you so much for your time!
I am the Station Manager for my college's radio station and we are looking at building a podcast studio! We are very excited, and we have a lot of people that know how to choose and use audio equipment, but we need some help on the video side.
In total we will have over 10k for both lighting and cameras, and I was curious what you all thought would be a good use of that budget. We are going to need 2 cameras and lighting to go along with it.
I cannot provide too much information because of University policy, but I was wondering if you all had any insight.

I personally would get neewer lighting so you can spend as much on the cameras. I really like Sony cameras so I'd go with something like the FX3 or FX3. Would it be live streaming or recording?
