What’re the best thrift stores for vintage and antique furniture and home decor? I feel like everywhere I go has a small selection of overpriced junk.
I’ve yet to come across a thrift or vintage store that has a good selection of antique furniture. It doesn’t have to be crazy cheap, but everything I’ve seen has been insanely expensive. I’m located in the Grandview area but willing to travel. Any tips? Thanks in advance!!
I look at auctionohio.com and ebth.com.
Grandview Mercantile’s prices start high but I’d keep an eye on their website under the sale section because they mark things down a lot.
Heritage Square Antique Mall and Powell Liberty Antique Mall are decent. Old Shoe Factory Antique Mall in Lancaster is also good. Heart Of Ohio Antique Mall is Springfield is by far the largest around and I’d also check the Springfield Antique Center, which is at the next exit west off I-70.
Springfield Antique Show is massive. It’s held at the Clark County Fairgrounds every few months. Their largest shows are May and September and people come from all over to attend. It’s not as good as it used to be and I would only go to the May or Sept. shows.
You can find listings and inventories of local estate sales here..
Garth’s is more high end but there will be some affordable items and you can bid online.
