I got the viper 2-way LCD remote start installed on my 23 cx-5 preferred on Friday, and now realize I can’t figure out how to use it fully. The remote is simple and I can do the remote start no problem, but once I’m in the vehicle I keep ending up killing the engine and needing to do a second start to turn it back on… which I’m sure isn’t a good thing for my battery or starter long-term.
I think I’m just supposed to press the brake to fully start the car but that kills the engine, as does brake plus start button, and start button only does nothing. The booklet only goes over how to use the remote and online is pretty much the same from what I’ve seen so far, would any of you be able to tell me what I’m missing? The shop is closed today otherwise I’d just call them.
