An important point. It’s your physical permanent address, not your tax home. The boards of nursing couldn’t give less of a shit where your tax home is. Compact state
You can get a license in any state. You do not need to live there. Go to the Va BON website and apply for License by Endorsement. Once you set up residency and get a SC license, you can get a compact license. At that point you can work in any compact state as long as you maintain a residence in SC. Once you permanently move from a compact state to a non-compact state, you lose your compact license and your SC license will become a single state license. More on reddit.com
