This is what you can do. Use Wise. On wise you can have different accounts for different currencies. Create one cad account and 1 usd account. Select "add money" on the usd account. When they ask how you want to send the money select debit/credit card and use the visa gift card. Now you have 400 usd on your usd account. Transfer the usd on the cad account, Wise has the lowest rate on the planet, around 0.5% (compared to 3-4% of normal banks). And if you use my link the first transfer is completely free, so you will not pay anything. Now you have the money in cad on your cad account. Send the cad to your bank account. More on reddit.com
