You know that sinking feeling when lag interrupts your flow? We’ve worked hard to make that a thing of the past. Blazing-fast performance means startup is significantly snappier, and the UI responds so smoothly you’ll barely notice it’s there, cutting hangs by over 50% and giving the IDE a lightweight, effortless vibe, even on massive projects. Whether you’re wrangling enterprise-scale repos or tinkering on smaller codebases, this sets a new bar for getting stuff done. Instinctive repulsion reading this. More on reddit.com

How to stop Visual Studio 2026 Insiders spawning new tabs
I think it's the same in VS22 if you use 'run in internal terminal' (not sure of the actual name of the setting) and afaik the only solution I know is to not use it. I do hope it is fixed or there is a setting I've missed. More on reddit.com

Visual Studio Insiders Release Notes | Microsoft Learn
1 week ago - We've made several improvements to the Hot Reload experience in Visual Studio. Thanks to co-hosting the Razor compiler inside the Roslyn process, editing a .razor file during Hot Reload is much faster and more efficient (addressing prior feedback where Blazor Hot Reload could take tens of seconds).

3 weeks ago - Once enabled, you can delegate tasks directly from Visual Studio. The Cloud Agent drafts changes for you to review, so you can stay focused on building and debugging the core of your project instead of handling tedious edits. We're actively improving this experience based on your feedback. Soon, you'll see direct pull request links inside Visual Studio, making it even easier to review agent-generated changes without breaking your flow.

Even better, you’ll get automatic monthly updates with fresh features, design tweaks, and productivity boosts delivered right to your IDE, while keeping your toolchains stable for as long as you need. If you like to try out new features before everyone else, the Insiders Channel is for you.

September 10, 2025 - I presume 2015 ABI is to have a universal, single installation for runtimes from 2015 to 2026. All of these are built upon the Universal C Runtime, which shipped in Windows 10 and was an update bundled in the redists until 14.50 for older operating systems. ... For me it will require only changing the OS version check from Windows 7 SP1 to Windows 10 minumum. ... I have installed the insiders build and I am pleasantly surprised how the installation and the first minutes went well. Getting the extensions from Visual Studio 2022 was a definitive plus: I was ready to use VS 2026 immediately.
