Can anyone help me with how to download the Visual Studio 2022 Community version? I searched everywhere on the Microsoft website. There are only the Enterprise and Professional editions available for download. I need it for my university assignment. Can anyone help me?

Apparently Microsoft has been removing all references and links to VS 2022 from pretty much everywhere in their websites. Even if you search for Visual Studio 2022, and download the (supposedly) 2022 installer, it will download the 2026 installer. They've made most VS2022 links redirect to 2026 ones.

Anyway, after a bit of digging in this subreddit I found the one working page that lets you download Visual Studio 2022, and I'm making it a post so that others can find it more easily.

So i have been trying to download VS 2022 but when i download the installer from the website i am only able to download the 2019 version and there is no section on 2022 while on the website it says that i am downloading 2022 which i am not even getting any other links that i can download it through because it is beginning to annoy me and i can't continue my project without VS 2022

I am installing the VS2022 Community Edition, but after the download completes, the installation gets stuck with the message: "Before we get to start, Windows Installer service is unavailable. Please restart your PC and try again." I have thoroughly checked the system, and the Windows Installer service is available and running in Manual mode. Kindly help me resolve this issue and guide me on a priority basis.

The latest version (17.5.1) has compiler bugs that I can't work around. Any idea how can I install a specific version of VS2022?

I remember theres always an offline installer (about 22-25gb) to install visual studio completely.

2017 and 2019 had this type of installers, does anyone knows if VS 2022 offline installer is currently available?

I installed the new VS2026 but it seems to have problems with driver development hence why I want to go back to VS2022. I uninstalled VS2022 and now it's nowhere to be found? I can't install through VS Installer as it's just not there, only 2026. I tried to download it from MS website (https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/older-downloads/) but when I click download next to 2022 it just says no results found. Can I not go back to 2022?

I recently got a new computer, and now visual studio automatically install visual studio 22 17.12. But the 17.12 version is showing problems with intellisense, and since I installed directly visual studio 17.12, I don't get the option to revert the version. Is there a way to download and install visual studio 22 17.11 instead of 17.12?

Just to make it clear, I don't use any nuget package and deleting .vs folder doesn't solve, its a problem with 17.12, in 17.11 (in another computer) it works perfectly.

I deleted visual studio through file explorer from things like program files and App data and when I try to reinstall it just says it couldn't find the directory and then it doesn't install. I would really like to use visual studio but can't because of this error is there something I can edit in the registry to make this work I have already talked to Microsoft support, and they were not helpful.

I hope you are all well. It is my first time posting in this subreddit. I have a question in regards to the latest version of Visual Studio. I received the notification for the new version in my current Visual Studio application (2019). But I realized that it is a separate installation and not an intrinsic upgrade. If I download and install the latest version, do I need to uninstall the 2019 version? Also, will my projects open and load normally or are there any additional steps involved?
